I was pricing-up a nice r33 GTST '94 today but it looked slitly different. It had a nismo front, nice white flat-spoke rims,GTR wing,Recaros, big writing on the steering wheel and the sides of the car"Taka Kaira" .The dealer is telling me that the car is a limited edition one and all the bits are fitted at the factory.Has anyone ever heard of "Taka Kaira" R33 or otherwise limited edition R33?

There was a Nissan 40th Anniversary GTS-t. With a better body kit and I think it was only released in midnight purple.

But then again, anyone could buy 25 GTS-t's and badge them in there business's name as a limited edition.

Might go again tomorrow to investigate further. On the outside the car looks shmick. However, the drivers recaro has a hole from a fag butt and the paint has come off the dash in some spots.Looks a bit grubby, however admiddedly the car is not ready for sale yet.I want to see it when they finish with it.

When I bought my car there was an NA Auto with a TommyKaira kit from the factory, with custom 19" gold wheels, rigid as heel suspension, hell it sounds pretty much identical, cept it was black, auto, and NA.

Same year '94, with silver badging on the side skirts with Tommy Kaira written on them.

Had it of driven better than a tractor, and gone faster than an excel I would have bought it. The thing was thrashed beyond belief, and the interior was about as good.

Good collectors car if you are planning on restoring it and using it from time to time, but if you want to drive it daily, make sure its worth it

yeah but the 40th anniversay one comes in a few different colours (purple, black, white) and is only series II 98 models.

my friend owns a genuine 40th anniversary R33, in Midnight Purple... most immaculate Skyline ive ever seen in my life. he paid high 30's for it about 6 months ago. only had 9000kms on it, with the log books in Japanese.

someone told me its got an R34 drivetrain underneath it... anyone got any further info about them that i can pass on to him?

I have seen a few lines with the Tomma kaira kits..you can get the copy kits easy enough. Generally all white?

If it indeed is a genuine.. and midnite purple is a nice colour!

I'd snap it up even if it has some problems - they can be fixed..

Ummm a few thing might need clearing up here..

I thought all 40th Ed. GTS-t's where midnight purple ? and where series 1's ?

If it did have a R34 Drivetrain...whats the difference ? I doubt very much.

I looked at the car again today. The colour is actually dark blue.Under the bonnet the colour is matt black-coud indicate that front end was at panel beaters at some stage. No extra hardware under the bonnet as far as I could tell. But it does have an authentic looking Tommi Kaira badge on the boot.Interior looks rather unimpressive and well used, 66,000 on the odo notwithstanding.I will probably look somewhere else for my Skyline.

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
