Im trying to find room in the back of my R33 series 2 for a sub.

Could i cut into the parcel shelf and put it in between the two speakers? or is the shelf a strengthener for the car? i wouldnt want to cut into anything to make the car less rigid.

Has anyone done this?

Thanks

Do you want to cut into your parcel shelf to save boot space, or to do something different and mount a sub there? I think you'll have problems with enough clearance below the parcel shelf. Don't forget, subs should be in enclosures too, are you planning on using your boot as the "enclosure"?

I once had a mini and i cut a big hole in the middle of the back seat and mounted a 12" in there. Didnt sound that flash.

I'm going to be mounting my sub and amp as below:

you should never cut the parcel shelf!

it does provide support for the struttops and is also illegal.

Thats wot i was thinking! and i jus wanted to kno if that was the case.

But yer its jus to save as much space as possiable
