cookiebear
As the topic said, anyone with the remaped standard ECU with lots of power? What the mix power can you get from the standard injectors? paulr33
the ecu wont limit power exactly, stock injectors will max at 250rwkw Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/149907-mix-power-of-remaped-standard-ecu-and-injectors/#findComment-2793433 Share on other sites
cookiebear
paulr33, so if I replace the injectors, can I remap the standard ECU to tune them? Is it a remapped ECU will be better than a SAFC? paulr33
a remap will be better than an safc tune you can remap to support larger injectors what car / what engine Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/149907-mix-power-of-remaped-standard-ecu-and-injectors/#findComment-2793528 Share on other sites
cookiebear
paulr33, it's for a RB20DET, and can I tune the fuel mixture with the remaping? aquariuz6
I have a remapped ecu. Cookiebear - No you can't. once the ecu chip is burned and into the ecu you cannot change the afrs afterwards unless you are going to get another remap again. cookiebear
aquariuz6, I remaped my ECU when I had the GT25 in my car, but now I replaced it with a bigger turbo and FMIC etc., so all the set up is different again. Therefore, I'm not sure if I can still use the old remaped ECU to run it, that's why I have a few questions want to ask: Q1.Is the remaped ECU will do the same job as the SAFC? Q2.The car doesn't give enough fuel to support my new turbo, can the remap fix my fuel mixture problem? Q3.If the turbo is rate 480hp, does that mean I cannot have my car over that limit? Q4.Does anyone use their standard injectors with remaped ECU/standard ECU and dyno over 250+kW at the rear wheels? Q5.How many engine HP do I have when I dyno 215 kW at the rear wheels? *Please help me as much as you can and I look forward to tune my car again soon. Sometimes 4. Apparently some do with adjustable fpr but I wouldn't recommend it 5. 215rwkw x 1.34 = 288rwhp add 10% drivetrain loss x 1.1 = 316 horsepower @ the flywheel roughly. Some people say drive train losses are more than 10% - more like 18% - I'm sure someone knows better. If I were you and had a 480 hp turbo fitted I'd get an apexi pfc. Not really expensive but allows you to do so much more. Also a lot of remappers don't have real time emulators so can only do changes to your maps with the engine switched off. Unless the tuner's really on the ball the tune most likely won't be as good as one done with aftermarket engine managment. cookiebear
gtst25, so what about the E-manage blue compare with the remap? gtst25
gtst25, so what about the E-manage blue compare with the remap? Not sure about emanage. You have to look at the price I spose - if there's only a few hundred between adapting a gtr pfc and emanage I know what I'd go for assuming you're running a rb20.
