The 2007 SAU Vic AGM will be held at the February club meeting on 20th Feb 2007.

At this meeting, the 2007 FY Committee will be elected. All committee positions are up for voting and nomination.

If you would like to be involved on the committee, please nominate yourself. If you think someone else would be great in a committee role - please nominate them. Don't be scared - this is a great way to get more involved with your club. The committee is currently structured as such:

Executive Committee roles:

President

Vice President

Secretary

Treasurer

General Committee roles:

Motorsport Director

Sponsorship Manager

Merchandise Coordinator

Events Coordinator

Driver Training Coordinator

Media Manager

Pete

Note that the position of DECA Master is already taken :)

Role Description

Executive Committee roles:

This is the clubs leader. This person is responsible for the clubs "public" face appearance.

Their responsibility is to ensure the club is heading and following the direction that the members want.

They should also show good leadership examples to other committee members and delegate tasks to the general committee.

Vice President

This is the clubs second in command role. This person is responsible for day to day running of the various "departments" of the club.

They act as a fill in for when the President is absent from meeting, events and other appearances.

The secretary should also track our various club affiliation agreements (insurance etc) and ensure all of the club information is up to date and correct.

The secretary should also handle all memberships’ add/changes/deletes

Treasurer

The treasurer is responsible for the clubs trading funds and bankroll.

it is their responsibility to ensure funds for events, purchases, stock, merchandise, deposits etc is handled correctly. All money transfers, transactions, purchases need to be logged and recorded for our regular balance checks and yearly reviews. This person has direct access to the SAU bank account and financial data. This person is called upon also when cross planning events and new ideas to ensure adequate funds and capacity is available. As we are non profit car club this role is very important and all steps must be taken to protect the clubs money.

General Committee roles:

Motorsport Director

The motor sport director is the person responsible for the clubs motor sport division.

They should be attending the track days to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all is provided.

They also have other responsibilities such as

- ensuring members go into the correct classes for competition.

- ensuring everyone has a fair go on the track days

- Posting results from motorsport events

- Organisation of motorsport events including insurance

Sponsorship Manager

This role is our sponsorship manager. Their role is to find any possible sponsorship leads and try to get them onboard. This can include any type of sponsor be it a simple donation, a full yearly event sponsor or just a logo on some merchandise. Sponsorship forms a big part of our income for the club and its funding so this role has an important focus for clear income generation.

Merchandise Coordinator

The merchandise co-ordinator is responsible for organising any new merchandise runs and builds.

They should also ensure we have adequate stock of the popular items and handle any sales/enquiries for merchandise.

Events Coordinator

The events co-ordinator is responsible for organising events for the club.

The events aren't specific to car events so they include things like fun days, social days, movie nights, general outings etc. The primary role for the events co-ordinator is things such as cruises, info nights, dyno days, and technical info days/nights. Secondary based events would be things like social days/nights, pub crawls, fun days, movie outings etc. This role includes performing bookings, event planning, liaising with suppliers/companies for bookings, enquiries etc

Driver Training Coordinator

The driver training co-ordinator is a recently introduced role which handles the driver training side of the club. This would include things such as the Drift for Dummies days we ran last year, driver education seminars, training days and the well known "driver dynamics level 1/2/3" driver days.

Media Manager

The media manager is responsible for ensure the club has a good media representation in the club scene.

Things such as photography for the club events and other club related activities.

This role can also include things like following up with Media agents for coverage of special events (such as the car show for deca etc..)

Again, this is a great way to be a part of your club. All current financial members are eligible. All committee members have to stand down and be re-nominated and re-elected - so everyone has the ability to be involved.

Please post any queries or nominations in this thread.

the roll of pete involves blowing up ur car and acting like a general tool while having some poise

the roll of brisby is just below that on the food chain but that ones taken

Another requirement to be on the committee is the ability to spell and correct use of the English language.

The role of Pete is to come to the occasional committee meeting and watch YouTube.com videos and show off photos of yourself at DECA.

If you can't do that, you don't qualify.

There can only be one Brisby.

If im re-elected for events I will look into having someone assist me with this (events running, planning, research). I am not sure on what work they will be doing with me or what % as yet. I want to get our site fast-tracked, work on our online signups and some other nifty treats for SAU.

    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
