Any One Know What This Is?

Hi all.

Hope posted this in the correct place. Just wanted to know if anyone knows what this wire is under the front drivers seat where the air vent is. Found it tucked under the carpet. Is it supose to be plugged in or just one of those random wires that dosnt belong?

something to do with the seatbelts....warning or something. gets d/c during compliance when they swap belts over.

Is it the plug for the seatbelt light on the dash?

When i jump in my car and start it, the seatbelt light stays on untill i clip in

Yep 100% thats the seat belt plug, i dont know how the switch works exactly in the actual seat belt wether its normally open or normally closed. If you don't get the dash light up i'd say just leave it where it is or tuck it away somewhere. But if you can't plug it back in and you get the light coming up for the seatbelt on the dash just bridge the wire's and it'll never come back up.

Thanks for replys, I think ill leave it unpluged i dont want no seat belt lgiht or even worse a noise when its not plugged in. Cheers.

Hey in that pic, those air vents how do ya get them to work. Is there like a little motor in them or what. They don't seem to work in my car.

I beleive when the A/C is on "feet", the actuator behind the dash will push a flap and direct air to the feet vents at the front, and to those under the front seats.

Those outlets are further away, so they'll probably have more resistance down the tube and therefore won't feel like they're on unless you have the fan on pretty strong.
