bugger that. too much exspense for too little race time. I'm thinking along the lines of super series. targa b sorta thing. mm maybe in a year or 2.

then again there's a few stacked up targa cars at work that would go cheap lol

would be fun as i reckon, out of interest how much have to set aside to make your car compliant to targa regulations funz? Saw around 8 skylines all up in targa and on the woodbridge hill there was an SL/R5000 on the back of a tow truck with a sore nose.

biggest cost that ive encountered atm is rollcage and seats.. and thats not including the cost of entry fee, new semi's to run with and general maintenance to run the car and also the fact i need to buy/get built a hi flow turbo :) all this stuff here is looking at 8k+ BUT i plan on running the car in hillclimbs and track days all the time so im not just spending the dosh for targa :D

www.targawrestpoint.com.au has all the regs on what you can do :-)

Good luck getting the 350 passed for Targa with the engine mods!!!
he doesnt have any engine mods :S lol
Just spotted some BS^^^^^^^^^ :P

Also saw the red R35 this morning in Salamanca

what BS you talking about lol... me rather confused lol

BS is IN BOLD ya computer tweaking geek!!!

YUP! pretty sure i remember seeing this car about at powercruise!

Should of come and said hi :D

Some dude named chris got some footage of me so i asked for the rest and here it is!

Fking RED Holden Drives taking off like grandma :)

Its ok there was like 10m room but you cant see in the vid !!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ9-PgPNvBM

and that footage shows exactly why I couldn't be bothered with Power Cruise.

Get out there on a proper track day with only 4 or so cars and full use of the track...

Much more fun if you ask me

And yes I am friends with the guy whos car the footage is taken from and also the guy in the "Fking RED Holden" as well.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
