Next SAU track day is kind of blended into one of the super sprints on 30th Oct, but I think a small mini tiny sneaky track day may be the go in September? At least I hope so 'cause I can't make the 30th :P

Interested to hear, what aftermarket brakes do you have on there?

Oh, and welcome!

pretty sure they're some sort of DBA slotted and drilled with sports pads, i wanna get an intercooler and oil cooler, and a replacement passanger rear strut (currently a little bent :() before i head out... or would it be fine with the stock cooler? and fixed strut obviously :P

I have an r33 with the stock intercooler and oil cooler (and pretty much everything else stock as well..). She's been running well with no issues for ~4 track days now, I'm just trying to take it easy and get the lines right though. My brakes and tyres overheat before anything else though, so It may be different with your set up :)

I m thinking a bit of sneaky practice would be the go too. theres not many free days at the end of september, maybe early september or early october...???

Agh yeah, the pads a really squeaky but are ment to be new, so I'm thinking they might be half decent ones?

Anyone have a stock series 1 coilpack they would like to donate to a fellow boat owner?? Hobart area :)

I've got a whole heap of rb coilpacks for sale off 2 motors i'm parting if you want a cheap one?

Early October sounds like a winner to me, I need to order in some new brake pads and get the rotors machined before I do any other kind of track work, as soon as they start to heat up and I brake heavily it feels like I'm driving over a never ending cattle grate :P

Will have to look into some specific dates for a sneaky practice

Yeah tweetywoof thats me, you say its a series one RB25 then yes they're exactly the same, RB25 series 2 don't use an igniter module on top of the motor and the series 2 coils have little modules on the top of each one that the normal ones dont..

Oh and just after $25 each

    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
    • You think its the AFM? I know its a common issues on R32s. I find it coincidental how this issue raised right after cleaning the fuel system. As everything except the fuel system was fine before. I tried running it with the IACV unplugged but did not notice a difference and still stalled. However, the RPM gauge is not in the cluster right now, so I will need to connect the laptop again and use Nistune to check the RPM. I will check this weekend.
