Milleage Stoped

Hey Guys i was driving home from my Girlfriends place this morning and i looked down at my Dash and noticed that the milleage was stuck on 180,000 so i reset the Trip meter to 000 and then that wasnt clicking over either i just wonder how easy it is to get a new dash installed either that or is there a wire that has come loose or something i wouldnt have a clue what to do can anyone help me?

Is your speedo still operational? If not I would assume you've broken your speedo cable, it drives the odometer too.

Yeah The speedo is still operational everything works fine oil press, boost, tacho, fuel, water temp all working its just the milleage has stopped and wont tick over anymore. hmm its a strange one

I take it you have a 33 , if thats correct the speedo is electronic not cable. As n15m0 said someone may have tampered with the oddo before and my guess is that the oddo drive is stuffed , even seized .

You cant buy them from Nissan you have to buy the whole speedo so your best bet is to buy a used cluster and hope that lasts ...

They are very easy to replace ..

It can be repaired if its the little cog inside thats broken which is very common, it normally happens if you press the trip reset while driving.
