Engineers Anyone?

Does anyone know of any engineers (preferably on the southside) that can mod plate my car?

I need to get an LO1 Mod plate because my car was complied in NSW under the 15 year rule. In QLD the vehicle is must be fitted with an LO1 Mod plate in order to register it.

I have called a few workshops that I was told could do them, but apparantly i need to find an engineer that can issue LO1 mod plates, as not all of them can.

Anyone got any details?

If you call Qld Transport they will be able to tell you, i don't have the list anymore.

I got a few numbers from them. 2 of them were disconnected, 1 of them no longer does it, another is unavailable til the 19th and one guy won't even look at the Engineers (compliance) Certificate I have from it being complied in NSW and wants to do a full check-over (compliance check) personally - up to $1500.

I've got a quote from one engineer that is able to check it out - starting from $250.

Looking for more so I can get the best price. Anyone got any more ideas/details?

That's the response i got from most of them too, they wanted to charge an absolute fortune to do 5 mins work. I had both of my 15yo imports done through Recreational Vehicles at Molendinar (Gold Coast) for about $200. They don't really like the hassle of doing 15yo stuff though because they're so busy with SEVS cars.
