New Section Idea - Freebies

Hey guys, a while ago I PM'ed a moderator (with no reply) regarding the idea of a Freebies Section in the FOR SALE area where SAU members can post unwanted free items that could be usefull for others eg.

- Old Tools

- Piping & Hoses

- Brackets

- Nuts & Bolts

- Off cuts

- Left over materials

Virtually anything that they dont need that others might want!

What you guys think?

Wouldnt they just post the item up in the own section/state as if its a freebie not going to post it they would pick it up??

Posting in a state or local section limits who see it. If the person is local then pick up is the best option.

Eg. What if a member in VIC has a certain part and wants to give it away and another memeber in NSW really needs it? if small enough it can be mailed for 50c or Express posted starting at $5.

Beats having to spend on calls to 20 wreckers and driving to pick it up.

yeah - good idea

would save trolling thru various states for sale threads looking for free stuff
