hey col what where your 60ft time because if your running 131mph your 60s must be real bad (like 3)

i do 2.2 60ft and still manage to run 12.7 @ 110mph

cheers

joe

Yeah my 131mph pass was a 2.8 60 foot and i missed 2nd gear for a split second...

Col - you won't spin the MT 255x50x16 drag radials, I'm using even smaller 225x50x16 Hoosier radials and provided I heat them up properly I can't spin them - do easy 1.7's 60" on both of these tyres.

Yeah i hope so... Ill have a chat to them tomorrow...

The guy with the EAT IT Silvia was able to spin his 255's and i think he is on similar power...

So ill make a phoen call and see what they suggest...

I would ideally love to use stock 16" skyline rims, so the 225's would be the go, but I may need the width...

I have been doing some research tonight and found this on willowbanks website;

Sedans faster than 130mph (208 kph):

* Five-point harness required (incorporating crotch strap).

I was telling Shane last night, when I ran my 131mph pass an official met me at the bottom of the tower he looked in the car and noted on the time slip that there was no roll cage or harness. He then said if I break 130mph again than I would be asked to cease the event...

NOTE: I thought at the time he said 135mph and thats what I was talking about with Shane as I had not heard that rule before...

But the guy did mumble a bit, he may have said 130mph

He grabbed all my info at the time and took details like rego and colour and basic description of the car, he also kept my time slip putting all the info on the back of it and said to email to get a copy fo the slip...

Now i found this above about needing a 5 point harness...

:Worried:

I dont want to put a 5 point harness in, and I will have to change the seat and probablly put a cage in to make it all work properly...

What do you guys think???

if u wanna see what u can get out of ur car col, but dont want full time cage and harness etc. get a half cage (so u can remove it) get bucket seat that can accept harness, and get a harness, and just put them in when u go to the drags. therefore u dont have to get ur car re-registered as a 2 seater (u would if u kept the cage and bucket seat in) however, u can get adr/street legal racing harnesses and reclining bucket seats.

My 255s where spinning as they where on 20-22psi of tyre pressure - my tyre pressure gauge lied and i thought they where on 15psi...

The best 60 foot i have gotten out of them was a 1.60 with 16psi tyre pressure and i ran an 11.1@131mph like that - i didnt get an official talking to, but i did quit while i still had my stock box in-tact - damn sr20 gearboxes!

You need a few things for 130mph+ but if you dont crack into the 10 they shouldnt really bother you. I guess that will change now due to the recent fatality - so i wont be going back there for a month or two, which works out good cause i need to get a bigger tune put in...

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
