There's a few here in SA that have basically just been bolted on.

It appears ~20psi makes a shade over 300rwkw.

I'd assume the difference between 20psi making 340-380rwkw and 20psi making a shade over 300rwkw is nice exhaust manifolds, plenums and a decent set of cams.

yeah. thats what i rekon to. im making atm 307 awkw on a t04z on 20 pound.

to be honest id expect more. but a stock as a rock motor just with the nesasery suport mods. im guessing yeah cams etc etc.

A LOT of people with the usual gear are getting 370-420rwkw on PULP without even going to Meth :P

Thats just the usual mods and around 23-25psi or there abouts.

I reckon you have a good number of things to look at if a t04z is only making 300rwkw on 20psi. Its a good 50-70rwkw down on what it should be

I run the 0.81 AR T04Z with a built 2.7 engine, cams, 4in exhaust, HKS manifold and i make 450kw on 24psi, thats nearly 1.8 bar. and BTW how does the stocker engine respond to a monster turbo like the T04Z. and how do you keep the old girl alive, dont you have issues with blowby due to older piston rings??

if i hijack this topic my apoligies

well morgs and pretty much everyone else has cams at the least. and a built motor with forgies so abit of timing could help.

my motor is still going strong. 170pound across all 6. (apart fron some cool oil leaks lol.

i put it down to oil and oil temp. and a concervative tune. tuners get a litle scared when they find out its a 230k old donk hehe.

so penrite syn 5 or syn 10. two 25 row oil coolers and overfilled oil by 1 litre. (up to the hump on the stick) to stop oil surge.

I must say is there much variance between the garret and hks versions in overall powerout put nismoid

Not to the tune of 70rwkw i dont believe so.

A few GTR's have been using Garrett t04z's here for a while and those are what im going off.

Not the HKS versions

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
