also is it normal that they are sqeaky when new?

According to the brake guy who installed my rotors n pads long time ago, the squeaks normally is caused when the surface between rotor and pads are not even yet, so there's some gap that causes vibration which is heard as squeaks.

Just make sure when the rotors were mounted the hub where they sit is cleaned properly as there maybe some rust from the old rotors, this way you can ensure the new rotor sits properly and rotates evenly. and best to use the new brake pads shim as my old shims were rusty and would not ensure the pads sits perfectly even.

I still had some noise at the back but they go away slowly after longer use. problem is I didn't use my car often enough last year so by the time I sold it there was still some noise at the back, but less than the first day I had them on.

Will submit the bulk order next week Wednesday 5th Sept.

(Next Group Buy 19 will be around the 20th Sept deadline with delivery around the 25th Sept)

I can supply you green or red pads as well - if you order full set rotors & full set pads, I'll give more discount!

Rianto, the 648's were the right ones , now the Legacy stops as well as it goes !

I've teamed them up with Bendix ultimates which seems to be a very good combination. :D

Thanks.

THIS SPECIAL SET IS SOLD

VICTORIAN MEMBERS:

I have SPECIAL - one set only for early model R32 GTR (normal caliiper not brembo)

One set of:

Front 296mmx32mm 7926S, PLUS

Rear 297mmx18mm 908S

for immediate pickup in Melbourne only. WILL NOT SEPARATE FRONT & REAR.

ROTORS ARE BRAND NEW, NEVER FITTED ONTO ANY CAR,

However the 7926S box have been opened for inspection only, and re-sealed.

But I trust this should not be a problem for you because you're gonna put it on your car,

not display it in a cabinet like some Biante model kit.

Will give one lucky buyer only a SPECIAL pickup price even cheaper than what I'm offering through group buy.

PM me for price.

REMEMBER Only one lucky buyer will get it - first come first serve.

    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
    • Sounds good, we will aim to be there! @The Bogan I'll give you a shout if you are heading up to campbelltown for the meet too.
