Hi, my rb20det is on its way out and iv bin readin up on a rb25det conversions and decided to go ahead with the transplant.

Just would like some advice on what of my aftermarket rb20 parts i can reuse because they are still in good condition

List of what i have:

High mount manifold

Garret GT3076R

Externall gate

Power Fc with controller (AP Engineering, would realy like to keep this if i can)

Sard injectors (think they are 550)

600hp fuil pump

Hybrid cooler(piping should be identical)

Remote oil Cooler.

Bassically just all the bolt on stuff. Decided just to upgrade engine instead of putting internalls into this one.

Also the only bit about transplant im usure about is fitting the RB25 gearbox in. Its an R32 gtst. Would all mounts line up.

Any information about where i might get an r33 half cut from, with engine and gearbox in good condition would be handy as well. Near Brissy area would be best.

Thanks Fellas

Mike.

Everything except the pfc and sard's will bolt straight on, you could either sell the pfc and buy an rb25 one(with money in your pocket)or make it fit which wont be hard, just use your existing look and sensors. The injectors should be able to be made to fit, just need an aftermarket rail, or maybe mod you rb20 one.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
