Anyone has any pictures i can compare? Besides FAST, im trying to look for other differences that they might have in those 2 models so that i can distinguish between the both of them .

This has been covered before , do a search and you will find something.

01 V-spec is a V-spec II and there are a few differences to the 99 none V-Spec. tThere are also differences between series I and Series II regardless of the Spec.

Differences between V-spec and none ( regardles of year):

Front lower lip on the V's , rear C/F defuser on the V's and MFD with 2 extra functions on V's , ALSD on the cluster on V's. I probably left sometning out but these are the main ones.

Differences between Series I and series II . Series II have darker seat trim ( almost black) clear front and side indicators, alloy on the rubber pedals, bigger boot Nissan emblem and the V-spec II has C/F bonnet with a small vent above the turbos .

Again I'm sure I forgot something.

ohh , i know the differences between vspec and non vspecs. Did a search couldnt find much pictures.. But yea.. i think the distinguishable ones are probably the black trim interior between a 1999 vspec and 2001 vspec as of october 2000 the interior's trim is black instead of grey. Thanks for the info

I think vspec2 has bigger brakes and faster time reaction on the atessa

..

The above goes regardless of V-Spec or not.

All series II V-specs are V-Spec II , they have same calipers and front rotors but the rear rotors are a little bigger on all series II cars not just V-specs.

You are not going to notice the difference in the pics , maybe the trim depending on the quality of the pic.

By the way I can tell the difference in the wheels between series I and series II as well.

So... would u say the series II vspecs are also vspec II ? are they still bagdged vspec or all post october 2000 only vspecII are produced?

All series II V-Specs are badged 'V-Spec II", because they are series II V-specs, there are no series II V-Specs.

V-spec II cars have harder suspenssion than series I V-specs, altough the struts look the same ..

Series II cars come in M-Spec, NUR V-Spec II and NUR M-Spec as well , these were built from May 01 onwards and there are only a handfull here is Australia, I have one of them.

ohh ok .. i get it now :ninja: . I always thought vspec and vspec2 runs at the same time of production.. Yeap all clear now.. was hard deciding when a totally pristine mint condition vpsecII is 14k dearer than a vspec when the vspec is alot poorer condition . 14k aud is alot in overseas value as the car is being viewed overseas.. haha

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
