Not too sure about the North Shore (maybe the Pacific Highway) but, west & south of Sydney has fixed speed cameras everywhere that's prob why there wasn't a need for them. We don't have as many in SA, however, there's more of a police presence here.
I wasn't aware that red light camera's could book you for speed. My understanding was that they are specifically calibrated for detecting red light runners, and speed camera's specifically for speed. With all the legalities and controversy over camera's not being correctly set up or working properly etc. I don't know if they would risk getting one camera to do both. It may also be different from state to state.

Yeah you can

When I visited Adelaide the last time I forgot that there was a red light/speed camera on a corner. Im so use to having the 3 signs telling you that there is one coming up ahead (lol sydney is great for it!!)

So I got a fine for doing 71 in a 60 zone  its my first fine in like 5 years :)

Yeah there is a few but not many I have to go thru one everyday on my way thru the back streets to st Ives to work

Yeah thats true cops are huge in Adelaide they are everwhere

Main point is... Yes, green light or red light, the red light cameras that are labelled "RED LIGHT AND SPEED CAMERA AHEAD" before you enter the intersection will ping you for speeding through a green light. If you sit at the corner of north terrace and frome street on a friday afternoon or saturday night you will see that it flashes while green, several times.

deluxe............golden comment

surprisingly went thru an intersection last year with a mate of mine and he popped it into 3rd next to me and set off the radar...................never got a letter in the post

yah so do i..always slow down when going thru the lights

but this particular one was hidden amongst the tree branches, and it was at night...on West Tce, opposite Heaven/Hindley St

look out for it..see if you could spot it next time u drive pass

A few months back the branches that were hanging in front of both the detector & camera were causing that unit to go off whenever it felt like it. I've seen that camera flash a completely empty interection on occassion!

And, yes there was a big political scandal regarding the reliability of the units. But I do believe that at great expense to the taxpayer, they've all been fixed and are working 'as designed'.

Moral of the story - watch your speed & when it's red - stop!

(especially westbound on Grote street through West terrace - it's 50km/h there)

where ever you see like a square impression in the road with cable stuff pushed into it(hope that makes sence)thats the point that sets the camera off,so if its at a set of lights withs both speeding and red light cameras they use the same point in the road to set them off,i've installed a hell of alot of speed cameras up the pacfic highway and i promise everyone here thats how they work.and im not 100% sure but i've heard only 70% of the cameras in nsw have any film in them at one time,so if u speed pass one and ur having a good day you might get away with it

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
