IF you have a boost controller then it doesn't matter what it does. It is for the factory boost controller, it keeps boost to 5-6 psi when the car is under 4500rpm once it revs past this it lets it boost to 8psi. If you don't have a boost controller then reconnect it because you only be getting 5-6psi through whole rev range.

But by the looks of it you have a boost controller in so reconnecting it won't do anything.

I dont have a boost controller and the standard one is unplugged at the moment, plugged it back in and it didnt seem to be any different but I didnt rev very high 4000-5000 maybe.

Can I bypass it al together and run a hose straight from the intake pipe to the actualtor and get full boost all the time??

*UPDATE*

At first I was told that the solonoid gave the car low boost in 1st and 2nd gear then full boost in top cause mine is auto.

But it seems that the guys on here are right and I plugged it in again took it up over 4500 and can definantly feel the difference in power and the boost is a bit higher on the gauge also, dunno why the previous owner would have pulled it off(He simply unplugged it).

Now it pulls great up top and even better when the Profect B goes on soon .

Thanks again for the link and help guys!!
