and NO i'm not saying r32's are overpriced just because they're too expensive for me.

like i said i've seen and know of decent examples of r32s and r33s that have gone for that much.

Yeah this sounds 'decent'.....

guys, i think i might have found something. although its damaged but end product should/would be sweet as. we'll see how it goes...

You and I clearly have different opinions on what a decent car is. I shudder to think at the heap of an R32 that you end up with....

I bought an R32 for 8k. and it is a fantastic car..

body is perfect interior is perfect and it is manual and turbo. it was a NA form factory and had the RB20det installed.

gearbox was crunching and it had NA diff and brakes.

I have upgraded the box, brakes and diff plus about every single part in the car but even in the condition it was in when i bought it it was a really nice car.

I looked for a couple of months to find a really clean body that was fairly cheap to start modding.

I now have a 240rwkw gtst with LSD GTR 324mm brakes good handling and all up it has cost me less than 14k. but it was a lot of work.

If you are prepared to do all the work yourself and spend bit by bit every month you will get what you want. I am saving $2,000 a month for a house so buying anything on credit for me was a NO NO.

you can buy something fun for 8k but it will take a couple of months to find a good example and your choices will be limited. and my advice would be buy something that has not been modded because a medded 8k car will be thrashed...

you guys just can't accept the fact that you CAN get a decent skyline with that amount of money. just coz you payed 12K+ for yours..... :)

R31Nismoid close thread please, sorry for starting it.

i'll let yous know what heap of crap i'll end up with :P

peace niggas

that's what i'm saying dude, but oh well....

This is the point I am trying to make. Any manual R32 GTS-T for $8k is going to need a lot spent on it to make it good....

Go buy it then.... I hope it is all that it should be..... :)

If it was me I would budget more and get something like this:

http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...2&trecs=110

Then get a full respray, rims, suspension give the interior a good clean out and rip out those monster gauges.

You might get that for $8,500... respray $2k, wheels $2k, suspension $1k = $13,500 for a nice clean 32. Then you can think about performance mode etc. But again, $8k for a 32 is only a starting point there will always be plenty more to spend. Otherwise leave it as is and its just another less than average car....

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
