Think about it, turbo timers must have a legit purpose. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many reputable brands manufacturing them, and people buying them the world over.

You mean the same people that provide such useful and power gaining products such as the $120 aftermarket oil/fuel/water cap? Perfomance seat covers and neons etc?? People will make them because they make money from them. Personally i just drive really sedately for a few minutes before parking, and if it has been a particularly hard drive, then leave it idling for 30 secs - 1min before turning it off.

Come on, how often are you in such a rush that 30 seconds will make you late for something?

Also they can sometimes be a hassle to integrate with alarm systems so that you have to wait around till after it finishes anyway to activate the alarm. And as SK said (and someone else quoted) can make car theft that little bit easier.

Saying that it does confuse some people when you walk away and your car turns itself off :)
