I recently lost a headlight, front bar and fender from an r34 gtt coupe in an accident and was thinking of replacing them with a GTR bar, pumped guards front and back and a new CF bonnet.

Also considering a full respray of the car.

Obviously this won't be cheap, but anyone know what i'm looking at. Plus any decent shops around Sydney that could do it? I'd prefer to use genuine parts but wudn't mind some fake stuff either.

Full colour change will be $3-4k and upwards to $10K

Full panel change to GTR for new genuine parts would be at least $12-15k

It is pretty hard finding s/hand parts for a r34 GTR

I paided $1000 complete front bar del from Japan (approx $4k new), $600 s/hand bonnet

I had to buy all the front brackets and reo just to hold the front bar on over $1200 brand new

Dont use car mate, Jet speed is good but there product isnt really..

Body form at prestons .. search the forums and you'll see what i mean!

his contact (peter) is 87835446 the phone is rarely answered so call now and again ..

And the headlights are slightly different not much if you get yourself a Top secret front bar from jet speed get that fitter (the gtr one) or order a GTR look alike bar from DMD the image in QLD you can obviously mold more fibreglass to fit 34gtt lights.. a original gtr bar will be pricy and is plastic molded so you cant fibreglass with a good stick!

Hope all that helps.. Peter will also be able to put you into contact with his sprayer which does a good job too

I've called JetSpeed and Carmate in Sydney... anyone used them..

Do GTRs really have different headlights to the GTT, i know the bonnet is different..

The head lights are the same, but the rubber seal between the headlight and bonnet is slightly longer on the GTT one to suit its bonnet

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
