When a trader is as pressed for time as Slide clearly is, AND when the standing offer of a refund is made, how can any of you bitch about it? I'm not trying to be argumentative but if you want a quality product at such a cheap price you should be prepared to wait for it. Slide could sell just as many highflows as he does today if they were $1200 instead of what they are right now so be a bit patient.

Times 2. I am on his list but i couldnt give a shit if it took another month. I did My research and his product is what i want.

If I may...

I had a chat with Aaron last night about a few general things... this was one of the topics that came up during the conversation. I can assure you that Aaron is by no means slacking off or putting things aside; you just have to understand that the man only has 2 hands. Also like you and me; he needs to eat, sleep and have a personal life. Sure all you guys are saying "well he promised a 3 week turnaround" but don't forget that these are precision items, not a catch can or a pod filter. If you want to see how fast parts off the shelf are organized by Aaron; order some - you'll be hell impressed.

I'm speaking not only as one of Aaron's mates but also as a business relation - give the guy a break! You paid; you agreed to enter a queue so you should make provisions for any delays that may come up. And as for those who have been pestering him about the turbos; I hope you realize that every time you call him, he needs to take time OFF making turbos to answer your call?

My 2 c

I got that PM reply a few days ago. I feel for the people waiting longer than I have, 1 1/2 months has felt like an eternity.

If your impatient, you can always get a refund then send it to GCG to get high flowed. You will have it back in no time.

i had to wait 3 months to get a part from japan...so yeah i know what its like to wait...but the wait is worth it. Im sure that waiting for a high quality turbo will be worth it as well. Some maybe carless, and yeah thats a bad feeling - but better than driving the car with a f**ked up turbo and making it worse (id be happy to keep driving my 82 civic if my turbo was f**ked up and had to wait for a replacement)

Hi Guys

I appologise for the delays for quite a few peoples turbo's.

The orders we receive are world wide now and trying to fulfill the demand for them has obviously become impossible to stick to given the 3 week time frame offered when ordering.

We have stopped taking highflow orders now from the forum and website and will not be taking orders now until a few things are back under control.

The first being my health.

Not many people are aware but i have a health problem and this places me in hospital every second day.

This started just after easter when i were told i would need a liver transplant unless i were to go on a series of treatments, Dialysis.

I personally did not want to make this public knowledge and i think i had the right to do so.

At the moment around 30 highflows a week are completed which has to stop.

Myself and business partner work hours that can only be seen as stupid to try and keep up with the demand.

We have been sending work to GCG and MTQ to try and take some pressure off and over the last few weeks have since been turning all new customers away from highflows.

The general parts from Japan are always kept under control and the delivery times are solid.

Payment is requested up front for highflows for the reason being that on any day regardless of orders sent out or coming in there are around 60 on order.

This can vary between highflows for GTR GTST CT20 CT12a in shop rebuilds and modifications.

We do not just do highflows.

When payment is made you are assigned a number and the turbo is only seen to when that number comes around as we believe the people that ordered before others have the right to have theirs done first.

All turbo's are hand built to exactly the same specification as the last and things can go wrong, housing's slipping the chuck of the lathe electrical failures, stock problems etc.

Manwhore:

Please remember that i tried to force a refund on your order and that i did ask you to try someone else as you were in a hurry.

You were very persistent with keeping the order and were well informed of delays and time frames.

I have answered over 30 of your PM's in the time you have ordered the turbo and taken many many phone calls.

I generally receive around 50 phone calls per day with an average of 5 minutes per call thats over 4 hours on the phone per day that i cannot work.

Phone calls are no longer taken as many people assume that i work 24 hours a day and it is fine to call at 11:30 at night. *

The private message service is there for contact and so is email.

I reply to PM's and emails every night into the hundreds without fail and if it is not seen to that day it will certainly be the next regardless of the issues listed above.

I would like to bring up again that it is only because of personal health issues that we are not fulfilling the orders like we used to and for that i am sorry, I value my life and wish to live as long as everyone else and if it is considered selfish of me to think that because a few people have made orders for a material object that is taking a few weeks longer then expected i am truly sorry.

Business apart from highflows is just fine and the parts service is booming.

We will continue to offer Japan direct prices and effort to keep you wanting more :)

For those that have highflows on order they will be done all i ask is for a little understanding given the situation i am in.

I do have obligations that are out of my hands and unfortunately i cannot help this.

Refunds are available and always have been to anyone that is not prepared to wait for their turbo.

We have zero build failures out of hundreds and hundreds of highflows and if we are not happy with a turbo it is not sent out and is built again.

We will continue to stand by these standards and look at the results and smiling faces proudly and hope to continue as one of SAU's and NS.COM's biggest traders.

Regards, Aaron

  • 4 weeks later...

This thread was closed for the same reason that PM's and 1am phone calls should be stopped immediately.

2 users in particular are dragging this on in PM and in after hours phone calls and this won't be tolerated.

The facts have already been exaggerated to other users casting a falsely negative light on the trader status of one of SAU's best operators.

The situation has been explained and dealt with yet you two arse-clowns persist in pushing the point.

If you have any further issues you are to take them up with ME in pm immediately. Otherwise the continued abuse of the pm system and the disgusting behaviour towards one of SAU's most valuable assets will be considered a breach of SAU's rules and subject to warning up to and including banning.

There is to be no more discussion in this or any other thread. If you honestly believe that after all this time you have been unfairly treated, again I urge you to PM me directly.

You two know EXACTLY who you are. Don't test us.

Thank you.

    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
