Ok, so my housemate warped the head of his ca18 - non turbo.. and got a 2nd hand engine of a mate (ca18) and, we have a few dilemas.. first of all, as soon as the battery is connected, the front right headlight comes on and stays on... no key in ignition or anyhting... and suggestions of what this could mean? the engine is turning.. just not kicking over.. (every thing has been checked, and double checked)...

Your going have to get bit more specific with the problems to help diagnose...

Check all of your earths.....

then check the coilpacks. try swapping them out for another pair. check the ignition module too.

My silvia did the same thing, turns out it was something to do with the wiring for the relay box above the brake pedal.

I was under the impression it was a common problem when you do a manual conversion, but it's worth a look in any case.
