Thought I may as well throw this up to try spark some interest... :O

Aside from the stupid event name (why do they persist lol), here's hoping this turns out to be a good day of Sport Compact Drag Racing with all the other usual shenanigans that go along with the Ray Box events.

I'm thinking about entering for a bit of fun - $80/$130 isn't too bad really, especially considering it's DYO racing and you could always get lucky and pocket some cash >_<

Who else is going? Is anyone keen?

From what I've seen previously, you'd have to expect to get at least 3 qualifying runs, plus your elimination run (assuming you qualify), although these Ray Box events seem to run a little different than the traditional Andra events we're used to having.

Qualifying for Sport RWD, AWD, FWD and Sport Bikes is a single session which runs from 10am - 12.45pm (as opposed to the qualifying rounds for each bracket). Given that the session runs for nearly 3 hours, I think it would be safe to say there'd be ample time for a lot more than 3 runs.

To give some idea, apparently quite a lot of guys did 5 - 6 qualifying runs at Mini Jam earlier in the year, and at a guess, I'd say they would have had more competitors there than what will rock up at WSID, so hypothetically you'd have to expect at least the same amount of runs this time round (i.e 5-6, plus eliminations for those that qualify). Not too bad really...

Perhaps someone in the know can clarify? >_<

You get 3 qualifyers, then if there is time you can line back up and have more "practice runs" which do not count towards anything. The reason they let you do this is because generally there are not many people in the staging lanes and it keeps the spectators seeing cars go down the track.

You should be able to get in at least 4 runs plus the eliminations depending on oil downs etc.
