Airbag Installation On R33 Series 2

Hey,

I currently had an accident in my R33 SERIES 2 skyline, resulting in both my airbags to pop out- both steering wheel for drivers and side passenger. I bought a new dash with airbags in them already the other day as the dash is cracked, and planning to install the dash in for the airbags and to reset the computer. However some guy was talking to me regarding the computer for the airbags and said that in accident the airbag computer blows up itself or stops working on impact of accident so therefore needs a new airbags computer- I WAS LIKE THATS CRAP LOLOL. Does anyone know know where the computer of the airbag is and if it only needs to be programmed or reset to get the new dash and airbags working like new.

yeah bro, i just changed them recently on a car.

its under the centre console behind the hand brake, take it off, unplug it and get a second hand one from wreckers, make sure it is off a series 2 though with dual air bags, plug it back in and goto nissan or a good mechanic with the computer to plug into ur car and reset the airbag light..

air bag computer should not pay more then $150 for it, and to reset the light ur looking about 30 - 50 depending who you know !! good luck

someone told me something about opening the door either passenger or driver side and pumping that button inside the door or whatever.... unless im thinking of something else.
