"Sorry Ricey, we can't beat that four-wheel-drive 600bhp monster with our pissy V8s, so please rack off."

so true

funny how they said it to a 4 cylinder ford as well. and it should be noted that the only v8's that the gtr was racing were the commodores. the fords they were racing (and sometimes being beaten by were the sierra, of which peter brock raced while he was fueding with holden)

Because its a bullshit comment. Given that there was no longer a group A formula worldwide, cars were no longer being homologated etc, so theres reason a) for the axing, reason b) being falling attendances, falling TV ratings and just generally stupefyingly dull and boring racing, with unbelievably high entry/prep costs. Have a look at the FACTS people. Its not just Australia, circa 1991-92 we see the appearance of control formula DTM, BTCC, evolution of JSS/JGTC....Because FIA had ditched Group A, it no longer existed.

Anyone who still trots out that ridiculous OMG THEY BANNINATED TEH GT-R BECUZ TEH GTR CAN NEVAH LOOSE bulldust in this day and age deserves a swift kick to the nutsack. That includes Top Gear in this case, because the statement they made was utter balls.

we all know top gear is simply an entertaining show for the masses... they get ratings from bagging out the yanks, japs and frogs... hell i drive a skyline and i still enjoy watching it :P

... you can't be serious.

Although Top gear is great for Entertainment and the fastest, most expensive cars around, I agree with HotPlates. Tiff and Fifth Gear is a more toned down and serious show that can help an everyday person buy a car rather than hear Jeremy Clarkson bitch about road taxes and drive a TVR around a track yelling 'POOWWAAAA!!!' :P

This list is obviously not The 100 fastest cars in the world, in order from 100 to 1 but............ actually, I have no idea what it is :domokun:

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
