R33 Fuel Tank Removal

Hi guys and girls, was just wonderin how difficult it is to get the fuel tank out of a S1 R33. I blew my motor up n im doin the 30/25 conversion which is nearly finished and i thought last thing i wanna do is pump fuel thats over a year old thru my nice new engine so wanna take the tank out and get it flushed etc so every things mickey mouse.

the tank goes over the rear diff cradle.

i was worried about this a while back so i just took the screw top off the tank and siphoned out the fuel there, then filled up with new fuel .. definately less work than removing the tank.

Where abouts did u actually go in to get to it, u get there from the boot somehow? There anyway u can flush the tank while its still in there or not really?

from the boot access to the fuel pump, its next to the battery

i didnt flush it, they are plastic so dont rust so i just got out as much as i could and then refilled it
