I go to Total Tyres in Oakleigh - 8564 1166, they have always been cheaper than anyone else when I ring around for prices. If there's somewhere better in the area post it up for all to see.

I have Bridgestone Potenza S03's at the moment which are awesome but at over $320 a corner, I'm not replacing them with the same again.

This time I am going for Firenza's which are on recommendation from Techsport (Evo tuners) as the owner runs them on his race car. Currently the distributer is undertaking some agressive penetration marketing and they are (for my 17" rims from him), just under $200 a corner. They seem to have a good rep with him and are something to with Bridgestone or Federal, I forget which.

thanks for the help guys :D

i had a SAU member sell me acouple of decent low profiles.. should do for the time being.. when i have a cash hike, which should be in a few weeks, ill tear em up and go get potenza's again i reckon

I'm also running the RS2's on my gtr, and must say they really do have a lot of grip, awesome on the street, and very progressive near the limit.

got them for 250 a corner, for 245 17inch at tyre power in glenwaverly, after ringing around, I found their prices to pretty much be the lowest for most brands, have to recommend them!

Mate, don't go for the Firenza's. They told me they were great when I got new 18" and I paid extra for them but they were a death trap. Good in the dry, but as soon as it got wet they would spin everywhere, especially say doing a U turn from the lights. Whenever you put a bit of lock on, no matter how slow you were going, and I mean literally crawling around a corner from the lights they would spin and slide. The car was basically undriveable in the wet while accelerating, and on cornering it felt like the tyres were really squirmy on the rims. The car is only 160rwkw too.

I just put a pair of Pirelli Dragons on my 17" rims on the front and they are great, cost me $265 each. I run Toyo T1-S on the back and they are easily the best tyres I have ever driven on, wet or dry. Grip is unreal! I got them a few years ago though and they cost me $350 a corner, but I think the T1-Rs which replaced them are cheaper now?

Cheers,

Nick

Too late, Firenzas were put on yesterday! Opinions so far (have only driven in the wet), they seem very good. I havent booted it yet as I just want to get used to having tread again but so far they seem good. Will give another update in a month once I have some more km's on them.

Appreciate the feedback though.

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
