Peter
Hi! I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to remove the front bar off an R33 Series 1? I have searched the forums and found instructions for the Series 2, but not 1..... Also, I will be installing a FMIC, so if anyone has any hints or tips it would be much appreciated. Thanks Pete Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/168799-how-to-remove-r33-gts25t-series-1-front-bar/ Share on other sites
Lazy-Bastard
Remove inner guard from each wheel arch Remove 2 screws on each side (in wheel arch) that attach front bar to front guard Undo electrical connections to front bar indicators Remove one nut and one bolt on each chassis rail that attach front bar reo to rail Slide bar (with reo attached) forward Done Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/168799-how-to-remove-r33-gts25t-series-1-front-bar/#findComment-3119459 Share on other sites

You need to slide in a thin piece of metal or a thin screwdriver to get the clip to release. Lazy-Bastard
You need to slide in a thin piece of metal or a thin screwdriver to get the clip to release. Not if you use the method I just outlined. You are talking about removing the bar and leaving the reo in place (makes life harder). It is much easier to remove the bar from the reo with the whole lot (bar and reo) removed. Peter
Thanks alot Lazy-Bastard & colgf, I'll give it a go and see how it goes......I am worried though as Haynes Manuals normally start with "Simply remove....." which often turns out to be a massive job! Apologies for my stupidity by what is the reo? Cheers Pete Edited May 16, 2007 by Peter Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/168799-how-to-remove-r33-gts25t-series-1-front-bar/#findComment-3122210 Share on other sites

On another note... most my clips have been snapped, and the latest retarded kid on a bike who plowed into my car snapped my last one. Any idea where you can get them from? Nissan? EDIT: Reo is the reinforcement bar.
