welll unfortunately ive had to disturb beer baron to unlock this thread as this is STILL NOT resolved.

Upto today, i have received the $300 "good will" refundable money on the 26th/27th May. amaru stated to wait a week for banks to finalise the redirection of the $600 refund. well what do you know? STILL NOTHING. ive tried contacting him through every means possible but he jus said it should have been there last week.

i have asked him for the details so that i can chase it up personally since he doesnt have time to call st george for 5 minutes to find out whats happening but he hasnt responded at all?. about 5 days now? which leads me to assume he hasnt done anything.

AMARU - your "$300 refundable goodwill gesture"just went to shit with your lazy attitude, once again im trying to get in contact with you but no replies. you say its hard for you to communicate.. but the funny thing is when i leave pissed off messages you reply straight away?. what a coincidence? You couldve fixed this easily, but obviously your not paying up for a reason.

you are really pushing me to come see you personally and collect the money or something of equivalent value. why dont you just stop f**king around and f**k your goodwill shit and send me the last $300 you owe me

so does anyone else still want to back him up?

Mods surely this has gone on long enough???? im not aware of the full story but hanyou seems to have been more than patient.

Hanyou, I feel for you. Amaru, considering you have been an active forum member for some time I would have expected better from you.

I have been in similar unfortunate positions as Hanyou and from experience it isn't fun. Sort this simply issue out once and for all. We all belong this great Skyline community and if you are unwilling treat members with respect, then perhaps you need to consider whether you should participate in this community at all.

Obviously Nick is hard to get incontact with, as he has mentioned mant time in hi last post.. the more to try, the more you work your self up..

it was a long weekend, and im sure the banks take time..

Like nick said, he knows too many people here to fu(k around...

PM nick.. dont drag everyone else into it.

yeah ive pm'd nick countless times but no response, there is really no excuse for how long this has taken. and i do have to take it out to the public and drag as much people in because if i didnt i wouldnt have found alternative ways to contact him. i actualy have to talk to other people to talk to him just to find out wahts happening since he doesnt answer his phone or reply to sms's, let alone login to the forum or his email.

the long weekend was 1 week after he said the money would be there so i dont think thats an excuse. for the amount of time it has taken a 5 minute call to the bank just to check up wats happening and inform me isnt much to ask.

i have even asked him to provide me with the details so i can chase it up personally but he still hasnt responded. so almost 3 weeks for a bank to redirect money to the right account? i think not.

btw im not taking it out on you skyGTRline - just have to be in my position.. no contact & your money with someone else not knowing when your going to get it back or even if you WILL get it back. plus factor in how long this has taken and its still not fixed.

why is he selling stuff on this forum if he cant even take responsibility for the sale. seriously 3 months??

Amaru has completely disappeared, no contact whatsoever.

does anyone have direct contact with him?

this is twice as bad since this guy is supposed to be a regular & a trusted user on this forum

also if anyone knows of his whereabouts please pm me i will be sure to give him a visit

shit man....thats not good at all. Always had reservations about buying online unless The person has a lot of good trader ratings (eg, Batmbl - lots of people gave him a good rating, and hence was good enough to trust and he did follow through on his promise and products)

good luck man - this has gone on too long...hopefully u get the money back.

thanks man,

yeah, i even spoke to a few mods & admin about his reputation and it all came out fine so i wasn't worried at the time. i could've expected this to happen if it was with some random that just signed up to the forum, but with a regular on this forum i would doubt highly. well i guess you cant trust anyone these days

Mods surely this has gone on long enough???? im not aware of the full story but hanyou seems to have been more than patient.

yes it has gone on long enough... but unfortunately there's nothing mods can do, we are not police officers, people trade at their own risk.

I have tried to help where i can in this situation.....Nik is fully aware that this situation is turning very ugly and also that this thread exists & is giving him a very bad reputation, but I can't force him to contact Hanyou..

thats all good the admins/mods did as much as they could, very happy with what they have done for me.

anyways this is FINALLY finished, i just randomly received the remaining $300 that he owes me today, he didnt even say anything to me. which goes to show that amaru did not redirect the $600 like he said he would.

id like to say a big thanks to everyone that helped me out in this situation esp shell!

from this situation i would be very cautious of this trader if your a interstate buyer in future.

cheers guys :D

    • Yeah they charge a little extra for mods , last year I noted no mods but I did have an exhaust fitted after that so  better to let them know cause these kinds of things can cause the policy to be void if you ever need to claim.
    • Hello, just just bought an 1999 enr34 with a stock rb25neo and I'm looking to upgrade the engine to 500whp I know some basic things but wondering if there are things I'll need to do to upgrade the stock block and all the bits and pieces to achieve this.
    • Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions. Got the seats out (hoping I could find some existing grommets but no such luck). By tapping and measuring etc. I could figure out where I could drill through if needed. But first I borrowed an inspection camera and managed to go through factory holes in the chassis rail and could see that the captive nut was holding steady which is why it could retighten. So it was indeed a stripped section of thread, so I applied downforce by levering the bolt head with a screwdriver and went slowly back and forth until it came out. Camera helped a lot cos I could monitor that the captive nut was holding tight. Now I just have one very seized main subframe nut to tackle 馃槄
    • BOVs do have a purpose, if you ever log pressure before and after the throttle body, you will see a spike pre throttle on lift off from a WOT condition. Enough to bend throttle blades / damage e-throttle motors or simple assist in blowing off cooler pipes. FWIW, the above on really applies to those running at least 2 bar of boost. OP shouldn't have an issue, on the other hand, here are some videos of my shit box over a decade ago with some succulent dose with the airbox on and off. That shit box is unrecognisable these days 馃珷
    • I've tried all different combinations of BOVs/ no BOV and stock bypass valves over the years, on gear changes the stock bypass valve seems to get the car back on boost quicker because in part the turbos wheel speed isn't being slowed down by reversion, although they have issues holding boost much over the stock setting. Most aftermarket BOVs you can adjust the spring, tighter will make it open later and close sooner, but in my experience it'll cause a bit of flutter at low load/rpm anyway. I've also got some input into this whole no bov causing turbo wear, never had an issue on any on my turbos HOWEVER, I got my R33 GTST with 200k kms on it, with from what I can see still has the original turbo, no lateral shaft play but has about 4-5mm of play in and out which to me seems like a worn thrust bearing from years (100-150k kms?) of turbo flutter running no bov, so maybe there is some truth to it in the long run. But that'll never stop me loving the Stutututu while I have the car.   OP just wants to know if he can run a atmo vented BOV with no major issues and the answer is YES, plenty of people do it, there's no harm in installing it and seeing how it runs before spending $$$ on an aftermarket ecu, last time I bought a Nistune it was $2400 for install and a tune , unsure of todays prices but you get me. Crazy money to spend just to fix the minor inconvenience of stalling that can be overcome by letting the revs come down to near idle before putting the clutch in or a little bit of throttle to avoid it. You're better off leaving the ecu and tune for after a bigger turbo/injectors have been installed to take full advantage of the tune and get your moneys worth.   Let OP have his Whoosh sound without trying to break his bank haha
