What's the deal with the V35's screen: Does it come standard with every model or only certain models? What features do the screen/CD player combo have i.e. can it play DVDs, xVid, divx, does it have any inputs for iPods or XBOX, does it have TV? Also, if it has TV, is there any conversion needed to make it work in Australia?

thanks in advance

Some do have the screen and some don't. It was an option from the factory to support the NAV and TV functions mainly although it does have some other cool things like compass and fuel economy. Personally, I like the look of the screen setup better. Without it, it looks bare, but its up to you to make the decision for yourself, keeping in mind that the TV and Navigation system will not work in Australia and there isn't any reliable information yet about converting them without going aftermarket and splicing into the factory wiring and changing fascias and such.

There is a DVD-ROM unit that comes with the screen but it only serves to read the Navigation DVD. No normal DVD's or CD's can be read in there. Therefore the car out of the factory does not have any functionailty to read MP3's, Divx, DVD's, etc and has no inputs to easily plug in Aux devices like XBOX. You'll need an aftermarket unit for that. It does come with a pretty good in-dash 6 cd stacker though. There are connectors you can buy from the US to allow RCA inputs for your ipod, but you can investigate those options further when you buy the car.

Only the Premium GT models come with the screen and suede leather interior. definitely nicer to have, however it is usless because you cannot play dvd's or use the existing navigation unit. It can be replaced for a cost of around $2000 to have it to Australian standards, however this replacement unit comes with DVD player including divix, mpeg, mp4 fricken spiff-ex if you want! haha, j/k. but anyway... everything is possible, just need to put your mind to it. something I can't be bothered doing!

As far as the car is considerned, one of the best cars i've ever driven, for a car that uses only 7.4l per 100km , it's a rocket! beats GTS turbo's , HSV's etc. for a non turbo, performs exceptionally well. Rated at 230kw apparently.

Ummm... 7.4L per 100KM? Where'd you get that from? The screen on mine says around 7KM per L which works out to be about 15L/100KM. My true L/100KM goes anywhere between 13.7 and 16. I've got a sedan though so not sure on the coupes.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
