As anyone that has met Kel and I will know, we aren't exactly the same height - and that means we are forever sliding the bloody seat backward and forward.

Did any w34 stageas come with electric seats? would love to upgrade if we can....am hoping the wiring is pretty straightforward so if they do exist, and someone has some could you have a look underneath for how many wires as well

Yeah but you will be disappointed if you think that they have memory settings like American electric seats 'cos they don't. They are actually slower to adjust than std seats..... just do what I did, make sure that your 2nd wife is the same height..... problem solved.... :laughing-smiley-014:

I dont have any switches for the seat heaters, probably because my console has been changed to the 260RS............. But as to the switches for the seats.

Well the drivers side has the following adjustments:

1. Bottom part Front, up & down.

2. Bottom part Rear, up & down.

3. Bottom part all, up & down.

4. Top part, tilt forward & tilt back.

5. Whole seat, forward & back.

But the passengers seat only has 4 & 5.

whats the heartache with sliding seats forward and backwards?

Im 6ft8in and the wife is 5ft2in. Ive had the drivers seat rail altered for an extension to the overall rail length.

Wifey drives at the closest possible point to the steering wheel (I cant even get into the seat sideways lol) and Im at the furtherest point away from the steering wheel - all in all almost 1 and a half feet of adjustment. Dont need electric seats to do what is a 1sec pre-startup job :w00t: same goes for adjusting seatbelt heights, adjusting rearview mirror etc etc.

Ahh lovely sounds sweet....will keep an eye out for a set.

Tangles, its not realyl the hardest job in the world to use a manual slider, but I figured if I was going to have an overwieght luxury wagon I might as well go the whole hog :D

bolted the electric/leather seats today....as usual nissan have looked after us they go straight in, and the wiring I needed was all there too. Only thing I needed to change (wierd) is the seat belt thingy was different between the leather and original seats - so had to swap it over from the old seats

just need to retrim the doors and centre console now :)

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
