Chris Rogers
is it tied to the handbrake? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172170-turbo-timer-wont-count-down/#findComment-3170638 Share on other sites
cheez
yeh it on the hand brake. if u drop it normally when the timer was working it shut the car off instantly. if the hand brake wasnt on when the car was turned off it would beep for like 5secs then shut off. Chris Rogers
so have you done anything to the car to cause this? on the blitz ones there is a switch on the rear that sets the IGN input. if you have knocked that then you end up with your problem. FATT should have one as well. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172170-turbo-timer-wont-count-down/#findComment-3170765 Share on other sites

cheez
ok guys, had a muck around with thetimer and still no rectification of the issue. could the relay that allows the alarm to arm while car running have blown or similar and thus cause the issue? cheez
yeh hand brake sensor in tact. took it to an auto elec and determined that the timer was at fault. had power and all that but when you went to turn the car off, the ignition plug just gave a flash of light on his tester instead of a constant stream, almost like the timer was rejecting the power supply. he had a fiddle and to save some stress i just went and bought a cheap 1 from super chaeap and im gonna hunt around again for another greddy timer.
