Hey SKYLVIA,

I was after getting the same done to mine. I went to Quickfit in Fyshwick the other day and was quoted $230 a piece for respraying and getting the gutter rash sanded out. Was told they would be brought back to new condition. I'm about to get a quote from 'wicked wheels' which is a mobile type van that comes to you so will let you know what price I get from them, but to answer your question it can definately be done. Don't know how well it would go if you tried it yourself though.

I had Jax Fyshwick repair my Volks, they did an excellent job - Respray, re machine (for gutter rash) and they even left the Volk racing sticker on it, all I had to do was say that I wanted to keep the sticker - all for only $225.00 per wheel.

I highly recommend that you go see them.

So I take it you can drop off the wheels to them and they'll do the lot? Ie the tyres can be on the rim?

Yeah, I had tyres on my rims when I took them in.

They'll take a day or two to do them so its best if you drop them off.

    • So we need to get together, design a new ECU, that can be mounted elsewhere, leave all the "factory" sensors "in-place", and then any it's not using, when it detects them unplugged, throw a CEL.   Yeah, probably too much effort these days for a Skyline...
