Did you goto school mate? You seem to struggle using a keyboard for some reason.

Neons are

1. pretty gay

2. A final ( final cosmetic mod) that you CAN do to add 5 stars of wank to your machine. I'm pretty sure i'd only add some if I did have some crazy yellow, pink or green paint job.. but your call.

Get the cheaper ones.. they all do the same shit, light up gas inside a tube .. you just wire it directly to the battery

Maybe spend the money on some engine mod's first and once you have owend your line for a bit you will see what a dick you would have been with neons on your car.

thats my 2 cents

But the end of the day it's your car

I love how everyone finds the time in less then 3 hours to be a dick... why not be a man and find a thread that you might be able to solve?

I have neons on my car... MY car, its not yours, i dont have to do what you say...

that being said, i never use them anyway... maybe once or twice when parked in a crowd... installation is easy as, and the LED ones dont break as easily, they allow a bit of flex... and one small crack in the tube doesn't mean you have to throw them away... getting an even spray of light on the ground is hard though...

Why is it every week we have someone asking about neons to put on their skyline :)

Your car buddy, do what u want, but i suggest doing a search on stuff like this first because A: Its been covered a million times and B: You will get smart ass responses because 90% of ppl on here think they are a gay thing to do under your car.

But to help in your question, yes its relitevely easy to wire them up as long as you know what your basically doing, cause you really dont want an electrical fire in your car.

www.varad.com or the aussie distributor i think is

www.darav.com.au

I have these one. Have had the for long time and had no problems. I have the colour change ones.

With the sqaure tube design of these they are less prone to damage.

Need any more info on them, PM me ;)

Cheers

I have got a couple of those 30cm slimline Cold Cathode tubes off ebay in the "computer section". They are easy to wire up and give off good light. By the way i only got them to light up the area where ur feet go to help ya see where ya feet go at night when ya open the doors.

Also i replaced the boot light with a brighter Cold Cathode tube also. Makes it a hell of a lot easyier to see what ur doing in there. Specially when ya have to play with amp settings etc at night.

I think that they can be usefull. I intend on getting some more to put under the bonnet so that if ya have the hood up at night workin on the car you can see what the hell is going on.

Good when used in a practical sense.

My 2 C

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
    • I was only looking because I saw some drops on the ground but it wasn't alot. Recently had it serviced will ask the mech to confirm. Find it strange that it looks standard though, can see in another photo of a random box
    • So...not sure if you know if that has always been there or why you went looking. It could be old damage from a clutch explosion, or even just the gearbox got dropped somewhere along the line. Basically, you should seal it up to stop oil and dust getting into the bellhousing, but it doesn't matter too much and is not structural. I'd suggest something like a glob of JB Weld. BTW what gearbox oil are you running, I would guess the breather has been spewing it everywhere.
    • Hey Duncan thanks for your reply. Sorry mate I know the photos are shit.  Took another photo for reference. Seems the casing does have a hole in it looking on the net, fluid seeping out. Added a photo
    • Very hard to make out what you mean, is it the squarish hole with redline shockproof (probably) under it? Is that pic from on top of the engine with the firewall to the left of pic and engine to the right? Either way, spray the area liberally with degreaser and try again, maybe circle the part you are worried about
