OK, I'm a shit stirer, (I don't really mind either, as maybe some people may feel the benefits).

So,

There are caps from Victoria (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=17617)

Shirts from WA (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=13333)

PROPOSED Jackets from NSW (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=15824)

ETC. . .

When is the (newly registered & CAMS affiliated) NSW club going to offer this sort of merchandise ?? And what will it be ?? Have you asked the members what they want or are you deciding on behalf of them ??

Or, maybe we need to go off and make it ourselves as per the the other States ???

And please don't tell me to be patient. . . . . . . . because I have been. (i think). I do realise that other stuff has been happening (eg CAMS, recruiting, stickers, etc) But, I am seeing the need ( read more members) if we got some shirts/caps/jackets/ and shit going.

What do ya reckon, (again, maybe there is somthing going on that I don't know about, but timelines would be good)

Cheers,

PS - I reserve the right to retract the above if I have missed a post/newsletter/e-mail etc outling the above aformentioned topic -

or whatever . . . .

:shake:

Brendan,

From what i have looked into, we can only get stuff in bulk, and then to get it embroidered etc it will be a costly exercise but we need to make sure we can get our money back (ie 20 jackets @ $50 + $10 ea to embroider = $1200) and so we need to make sure we can sell all of those jackets at $60ea before we can go ahead.. We are currently working on a few sponsors, once we have them underway (within the next few weeks) we can start looking into merchandise, i need to find somewhere that will supply and embroider as we need them (or at least in smaller up-front numbers (like 5 etc)...

we are not doing nothing.

Christian

Christian,

My Sister works for Brother International (sewing machines) and is an embroidery expert.

I can get any small quantity embroidery done for free (more quantaties would mean that maybe to look at an organisation to do this though - (like what you have been looking at).

Maybe this may help getting things started ??

Cheers,

:(

Hehe just saw this post... I'm organising caps coz the opportunity rose. We're still FAAAAAAR from actually having a club organised.

We've got a psuedo commity atm and no president so yeah, you guys have more structure than us.

Plus the gear I wanna get done is for anyone on the forums not jus the VIC fellas, but since I'm a mod in VIC then I posted on there (that way I can remove the d!ckhead posts).

Our structure atm is something happens when someone puts their hand up and offers to do it (without having to rely too much on the others). eg: Melb Autosalon, Caps + Beanies etc..

If you guys are getting shirts and merchandise done and need numbers to keep the costs down let us (in VIC) know, we're keen and I'm in Syd at least once a month or so, so I can pick em up off yas.

It's just that nobody seems overly interested at the moment.

Firstly, congrats on resurecting a 1 year old thread :).

Secondly, as much as its difficult to comprehend, i have a life outside of SAU. I have not gotten the logo for you yet and I apologise, but please QUIT BADGERING ME about it! its driving me nuts!

If you want to organise a deal with the club, contact Dino as he is the club president now. Otherwise for forum merchandise, learn to be patient.

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
