Recommended Posts

Item:

Nissan Skyline Gts25t 1997 model type M

Location:

Gold Coast

Item Condition:

~130,000km, all log-booked, oil changed every 5,000km, rear disc rotors recently replaced.

Car has had major service and now has rego until 02/08.

Modifications:

Engine: RB25DET, stock turbo, stock boost being run, only ever boosted to 10psi.

Exhaust:3" straight through to twin 3" shooters (Yes, it is loud).

Suspension:JIC coilovers (not for the faint-hearted, these are stiff). Also have stock springs & struts to sell with car.

Wheels: AMG 17" on the front, 15" stock R33 rims on the rear (will sell with the full set of 17s, however 1 rim is quite rusted).

Apexi turbo timer

Apexi SAFC

HKS sequential BOV

Blitz pod filter

Blitz LM front mount intercooler

Exedy HD clutch

GFB Bleed Valve

Screamer pipe

Cusco 2-way LSD (very tight) - have stock LSD to sell with car.

Mongoose Alarm & Immobiliser.

Reason for Selling:

Have caught the modification bug, and was looking to make big HP & torque, so much so I was going to do a 2JZ-GTE conversion in my 33. However after numerous budgets and much research and speaking to a few voices of experience, decided there was no way it was going to be worth the money in the long run (despite the power it would make), so I have decided to sell/swap this for something that is already extensively modified.

Price and Payment Conditions:

Am looking for $15,990 negotiable at the moment (without RWC), or swaps. I think this is a reasonably fair price for 97 R33, however feel free to voice your opinion.

Am looking to get an S13/14/180sx/R32 with a big engine conversion such as an RB25DET/1JZ/2JZ for drifting/dragging. However am interested in a getting a full on drift pig now that I have a daily driver to use.

Extra Info: [/size]

Car obviously wouldn't pass a RWC but there are ways around this.

And before anyone says anything, yes the car has been drifted, and would like to think whoever buys it will continue to drift it as it slides very well. Will sell plates with car as there is not much use for them unless I get another 33.

Car has no accident history.

Have not had much attention from police, never been defected (touch wood), not having a big bad bodykit makes a difference.

Even though it is "just another R33", there are not many 33s going around that ride this low or sound like this, so it at least has that going for it.

    • Actually, it is probably pretty legit. I mean, it's still woke feminazi bullshit academia, but you would have to agree that it is very likely that there would be a correlation between wanting a loud exhaust and scoring at the unpleasant end of the scales for dark triad personality traits. The fact that they found it didn't correlate with narcissism and only with psychopathy and sadism definitely shows that the loud exhaust thing is more of a "f**k you" than a "look at me", and I reckon that rings pretty close to most of the dickheads who take it to the extreme. Remember, this is correlation with tendency to be closer to one end of a personality trait scale than the other end. Of course someone who is at the literal opposite end of the psychopathy scale is going to be so considerate of others that they wouldn't even think about wanting to upset anyone with a loud exhaust. So the finding isn't that "you are a psychopath". Just that you score more towards that end of the scale than someone who doesn't like loud exhausts (on average, not necessarily even for specific individuals).
    • Blitz ER34 at some point hopefully, should be allowed in Gr3 if they do.
    • Stock R33 boost control, with the exhaust, and FMIC done, will boost creep. There is no tuning around it if it is the factory boost solenoid.   If it has an aftermarket electronic boost controller, the settings/mapping can be altered in it.   Oil could be anything as mentioned, however did it ever do it before you did the turbo swap? How much and how often did you drive the car before the swap?   I'm hinging on too much oil supply, or it's not draining properly.   To check, pull the air outlet off the turbo. Is it full of oil? Drop the exhaust at the turbo, does it appears to be oiled/coked? Now pull turbo and check the exhaust manifold, does it appears oiled and coked the same way?   Secondly, the PCV could even be stuffed / not functioning properly and will cause blowing of blue smoke.
