your car will also stall.

I did the coke can thing and undid it. Its crap. Get a HKS SSQV if you want flutter.

The afm is expecting air (from plum back bov) to be returned to the air flow, so when you stop that air being plummed back into the air flow the air flow metre doesnt know this and just assumes everything is normal, hence thinking there is more air there than there really is, therefore keeping the same amount of fuel for less air, causing it to run rich. hope that made sence

So if u put the afm in the cooler piping do you rekkin it would run beta?

not too sure but the thing is...people have done this but the AFM isn't designed to be placed under pressure, its just plastic, and excess heat to this plastic can cause it to become brital. The afm relies on an accurate reading of resistance measured by a very thin wire. Any excess heat to this could cause improper readings, hence different air/fuel ratio....probably wouldnt be f**k all but there's no point just for a flutter and bad economy.

LOL

it works... but wouldn't recommend it on a r33 with the ceramic wheels..

blew mine out my exaust pipe and also straight into the intercooler..

i don't see any issue with a steel wheel type turbo

edit: i have fixed this up cos people can't seem to understand wtf i was saying...

Err how is that possible? Is your exhaust connected to your intercooler? :P

:laughing-smiley-014:

Luckily it didn't go the other way and end up in your sump hey? or even worse, in the flux capacitor.

aah.. school holidays :P

if and I stress IF .. your serious about this make sure your aware of the possible damage it might do

also if you REALLY want to do this .. least give the 34 a bit of respect and cut a bit of 3mm Ally plate and paint it black .

on a LOT of cars you will get flutter if you back off on low revs -

at full throttle the BOV is designed to stop air " ramming up against " the throttle body and traveling back past the turbo wheel

    • I guess it was the thought about "Oh if I were to drive this everyday". Then no, SL500 I wouldn't really consider lmao.
    • Yeah actually really fair point. Idk what I was thinking when looking at the SL500. Now that I think about it, I feel like I would have more enjoyment out of a shitbox that I would need to repair than some fancy merc. Although I must admit the SL500 does look quite nice. My bad hahaha.
    • 100% Also "Not wanting to spend money" is THE WORST IDEA IMAGINABLE when coming to a project car of any kind. They EXIST to BURN MONEY. Sure, gas money is a thing. A stock car with the worst fuel economy ever sold would probably be cheaper than modifying a car with FREE petrol for the life of your ownership of it, lol.
    • Amount of time you're being observed by law enforcement is so minute, that you could be a dumb shit 90% of your driving time, and never lose a demerit. You could also be the best driver ever and still get hit with a fine.   When you realise how quickly everything turns from "Wee, we're having fun!" To "oh f**k oh f**k oh f**k", you start to realise the only way to be a good driver, is to not be doing anything dumb or unexpected by normies on the road. You want to go fast, go to the track. Someone there in a 1990s slow POS will also show you how bad of a driver you are as they lap 10 seconds per lap quicker than you can in a car that should be considerably faster.
    • This is a stupid reason to get a car. I thought someone mentioned something about not trying to be pretentious... Flexing is same same, you just think you're cool doing it.
