OK.........Not quite what i was after.

As Ash has stated, a format of events, etc. would be of greater help. If it's a track day, just mention that cars will be released in groups of X cars, for Y laps, or Z minutes. Is the long or short track being used?

From the sound of it, looks like you have booked the track, but have not planned and events or what you plan to do on the day.

If we get 35 participants, it will come down to

$176 each, cheaper if we get more

Does this mean if you get 10 people, you expect them to pay $615 each to cover your costs? A set price would also be better; obviously the lower the price the more people will come.

Go back to the "drawing board", nut out all the details, including entry price, then post up all the information. :ninja:

and yes, if we get 10 people, it will cost $615 per person
:D

You seriously expect a turnout with that pricing structure?

I was only offering a hypothetical scenario :laughing-smiley-014:

What i mean by entry price is; You set a price for people to enter their car's. This is a fixed price. For example $150 per driver; if you get more than 40 people, great you make a profit; if you get less, well tuff break, you live and lean.

Expecting people to prep cars and turn up when they may hypothetically end up paying $600 to enter is a joke.

  • 2 weeks later...

would have come (even tho i live in waga waga) however for the poor orgoniseing of the event.

mate it's simeple the cheeper the event the more cars you will get, aslo give people plenty of notice,

and has this gone on other forums. as this would aslo help you getting more people if you put it on say.

www.r31skylineclub. and www.nisansiliva.com.

and only 3-5 car at one time :) what would happen if you had say 50-60 cars there thats not a lot of track time.

if you go and have a a look at a old post about a fun day that was conducted at calder earler this year, threre was about 30 cars (am i right al)

even if you did the winton verson of 30 min per groupe with say 20 cars would be fine. as this would allow people to have plenty of tracktime.

i recon make it $80-$100 for the day in the format of the winotn fun days.

also will the food stalls be open or bbq provided what if people have to leave the venue will they be allowed back in.

best person to speak to is a guy buy the name of big trav (he is on these forums) as he used to orgonise the winton fun days so he would be of great help to you.

also ill put this up on r31 skyline club and see how much attanchen it gets

    • A few little updates that weren't filmed due to not taking long to do or not interesting enough for their own video. My new K&N Air Filter arrived, I went with an RU-4180 which matched the dimensions of the universal cone filter the car originally had.  The battery had gone flat, while that was charging I tidied up the spaghetti wiring at the bulk head and down the sides of the engine Next job was to swap the stereo The Kenwood harness had the female ISO plugs cut off and the male ISO plugs cut off the adaptor loom and joined with bullet connectors. I ordered in a repair loom through work and re-did it all. New Kenwood unit installed (Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera) The bonnet/hood gas struts have been poor since collecting the car. I couldn't find any suitable replacements locally so took a chance on a pair from AliExpress.  The originals don't use a retaining clip to secure the cup onto the ball fixture, would explain why I struggled for 10-15mins trying to pry off the cups. The ball fixtures unscrew using a 12mm spanner, new ones are the same size. Sadly no photo of them fitted, you're not missing much lol The dished Momo steering wheel got replaced with my Momo Tuner, turns out I ordered counter sunk bolts for the horn trim ring (like they normally are for the steering wheel) instead of allen cap (flat seat)  A terrible photo of a Quaife style gear shift knob I've had stashed in my tool box for many years after purchasing the incorrect thread size (I can see a pattern emerging with ordering incorrect parts...) Also threw in a cup holder and a (empty) Boss Coffee can, because why not
    • GT-R clearly the better choice! The 300 is certainly not insaly fast but has a decent amount of poke. Does a nice little drift around the corners with a decent amount of throttle. It's VERY predictable in a slide too.  Feels so progressive! People probably presume there's a 25 year old driving it based on my behaviour this week! 🤣
    • Yeah Jap import. Fairlady Z then! I'm a bit the same.  They've been on my radar for a fair while but then just impulsively decided to buy one!  Was going to just buy an NA and add turbos to it later but decided to save the f'ing around and just buy the turbo version.
    • Thanks mate, well done to you too! Yeah not looking forward to doing any major work to it!
