i mean, if you are looking for a car, then surely you should know what you are looking for and should be able to pickup accident repairs or an engine leaking oil/water. all i see that a mechanic could do is a compression test the rest ayone else should be able to pickup..

You should look long and hard at the cars here on the forums.

Then PM as many people on here (the frequent users) to find out the history of the car.

You will get a great buy that way

racq would be fine, any work shop you trust would be fine

at least with racq you know they will be honest

no dramas with them looking at imports, problems are the same accross cars

definately worth getting any car you buy checked out first
