ok well i dont know where to post this but here:

got a 96 s14 and im swapping in a rb26dett i have a rb20 trans bolted to it.

i moded the stock rb26 oil pan to work in the chassis and just purchased tophatperformance motor/trans mount kit. also am having the wiring done by them too. heres the questions;

can i use the rb26dett started or do i use the rb20 starter with this swap?

can i use the rb26dett powersteering pump? if so what do i do with the rear steering lines(my car is non hicas)? and if i cant use the pump what works in its place?

anything eles i should look for or need to get/use/have to finish my swap?

thanks all

Use the 26 PWR steer pump but pull the rear pump vanes out and block the rear hicas outlet, works well do it often to cars i remove the hicas on. On ours i have used a R33 Pump on a GTT bracket (memory hazy) which allows me to keep the 5pk but run it on the AC pulley on the crank... this allows 17mm extra clearance for decent fans on the back of the radiator. FLEX-A-LITE F210 fans are the only way to go... all the others are shite and messy.

Use the 26 starter, same shite from memory.
