Phil, you worry me. My point of this damn thread was the fact that THOSE particular commentators THEN had no idea, and i found it amusing

listening to it because of that. DA has improved heaps now and i AM aware of that, but it wasnt my point was it? My point was about those particular commentators and the simple fact of them not knowing what they were commentating about in general.

Why am I one person who cannot comment on drifting in any aspect? Cos i havnt gone to a track in my 33 like u have? That makes u a sick drifter who can talk about drifting yeah? You learnt how to go sideways a couple of months ago, i started when i was 15..

I have a 100cc race kart that i take to tracks which has taught me a HEAP about throttle & steering control, race lines & reflex that will take u another few years to learn, if u ever learn that is. Im not saying im some drifter from japan, but i understand it.

Y have i not gotten out there as yet? How often has my 33 been at Creatd cos of different bullsh&* F&&ng up? Also mabey because my engine is forged i didnt want to risk overheating it without an oil cooler till it was fitted.. I intended on taking that car to the track prepared so I wouldnt have to tow it home, but looks like i wont for a while now since the motor is blown.

Why is a commo the WORST idea ever? Should i have spent $6000 on a gutless 4 cylinder AE86 with rust & a pod filter because its know in japan as a drift car? OR $1,500 for a 3.8ltr V6 manual commo with plenty of tourque which most cheap jap cars DONT have, parts are also ANYWHERE and cheap which is vital for a car thats going to hit walls. Besides, it will be something different & amusing to watch on a track.

Why is a holden with stiff suspension, sway bars, no 4 wheel steer & the right tires going to be so bad? Please advise.

man, i didnt LEARN in 5 months.. the point i am making is, dont talk unless you yourself have experienced on a track, i neva commented on ANYTHING if i had never done it..

BECAUSE YOU HAVE A PERFECTLY GOOD R33 TO DRIFT WITH.. BUILT FOR IT, AND THATS THE WAY YOU SHOULD DRIVE IT...

you dont need an oil cooler to drift, your oil wont thin out that easily.. mine has been perfect all day at winton and lap after lap after lap at calder. I on the other hand would rather a bigger radiator..

You have the advantage over me with go karting etc.. but you have never experienced drifting on a track and with tandem eg. going up against my brother and others who make you nervous as shit..

Ill give you a go on the track. any money you will do what me and anth did when we first started.. spin out again and again and again

I don't really see what the argument is about guys, who cares when they said it, or how educated/uneducated they were at the time, what they are saying is hilarious and in no way relevant to drifting, dean_HR31 just posted it up for a laugh anyone with half a clue can see that and then you guys try and put a jihad on him lol, seriously.. chill

Your brother is a top bloke & a top driver & thats what i tell others too. I have full respect for Anth.

Any money i will do the same as u on the track first go?? Thats judging, you really shouldn't judge.

Yes my r33 was built to be thrashed & thats what i did, but not for 45 minutes straight. I looked after it at the same time which is why

im so annoyed about the engine blowing.

The oil cooler i believe is more important that the bigger radiator. While water temp can stay steady, i have noticed oil can keep rising.

im not saying anth is nervous to drift with, im saying others when ppl r just about to kiss you from behind on the track its hard..

and im not judging.. im generalizing even rob said the same, when he first started he lost it heaps and its a general thing..

I know what type of driver you are man. but making threads like these will bring those responses because people on here dont like drift unfortunately.. most are skidpan and trackday nuts...

But like i said, i have been in the 31 comming onto the ring road from easbound maccas facing the gutter after geelong >_<

The new laws our out so im gonna take my time with it since i cant drive it on the road till im 21... >_<

Wtf is going on with this law anyway?? Have they bloody inforced it yet or what!?!?! I still havnt heard of anyone getting done...

Yeah, it doesn't seem like they're doing anything about the new rule. Haven't heard one person talking about getting done yet either.

      The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.

      Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.

      I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋

      Does that German restaurant still exist in the old place out the NW end of Goulburn? When I say "out the NW end of"...I am really being vague. It was 1997 when I was last there, and the only point of reference I can recall is that it was on the opposite side of the main drag from the big merino. And when I say "opposite side of the main drag", I don't mean "on the main drag". It was either a couple of streets back from there, or might have even been out in the sticks a bit further. Was an old farm building or mill or somesuch. And when I say "the big merino" I might actually be thinking of a completely different part of town, because I just looked on maps and the big bugger is not where I remembered him to be! The food was good, consisting largely of various German mystery-meat sausage/loaf things and kartofflen.
