If you guys can get a few cruises and what not happening, I'll look into get CAMS public liability insurance to cover you in case anything goes wrong. :)

At this stage, cover only applies to members. At least, that's my understanding of it.

Anyone want do do the following install on my 32 GTR for free?

HKS GTSS Turbos
Tomei Poncams
Tomei exhaust manifold
HKS Dumps, front pipe, Hi Power Silent exhaust
HKS Fuel pump, 700cc Sard injectors
Z32 AFMs
PowerFC

I really don't want to pay 5K(quoted) to get it done professionally.
Ok. I'll give you twenty bucks and a high five...

Who quoted you 5k for that?

I figured it would be a day to do the turbo's and exhaust and mafs. A day to do the cams, fuel system and computers and to get a base map in it. And then about 2-3 hours tune time. I'd figure $2500-3K.

If 1/2 your parts are second hand though, there is a lot of stuffing around with fiddly extra's. Cleaning everything, sourcing exhaust studs and gaskets etc. Old R32's tend to often have broken exhaust studs that need extraction. The coolant pipes can sometimes need replacing too as they tend to corrode in and can snap off wen being unbolted. If they do come apart intact, all the pipe work should be zinc plated again to provide some corrosion protection. BCR can do this in Cairns.

Spotted a clean midnight purple R32 GTS-T tonight on Mulgrave road in front of Mcdonalds. Black rims. It was on Gumtree but has recently been taken down. Anyone know the owner? I'd like to tee up a meet in a couple of weeks here in Cairns (When my car gets out of the shop). Interested?

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
