Skyline_Dream
Hey there Before i get into anything i am new here and i would like to say thanks for making this site, i know i will learn a lot from it. I have a skyline GXI 1.8 4 cylinder engine i have recently bought a radiator for it as mine was over heating, the guy that had sold it to me said make sure you bleed the air out of the engine before you install it otherwise the radiator will pop. Problem is i dont know how to bleed the air? can someone please help me by telling me whereabouts i could find this valve that bleeds the air? any pictures of a rough idea of where it is would be greatly appreciated. thank you very much. tacker
I just undo the bolt for about 5 seconds to let the air out. Fill radiator again and repeat until the is no air coming out and refill the radiator. helps if you run the engine until its hot and then let it cool down before opening the bolt. Habler
Also are you 100% sure the radiator is the reason your car is overheating? Were you losing mass amounts of coolant, if so where from?
