Hey,

Assumming that there is no immobiliser in the R33 key...

At first I went to bunnings and they did a average job. key would hardly turn. Got money back and made sure they destroyed the key.

Ended up going to a pro locksmith shop and they can cut it with no worries. They just match up a blank with the same length and patten as your stock key (which thy should have in stock) and cut it. Got 2 done and had no problems what so ever!

Only cost like $10 or less. Just looks like a generic key but hey it works! :-)

Ended up getting a Nismo key and took it back to the locksmith. Worked first time and still does.

When I bought my R33 it only came with one key, I went to local Nissan dealer who has FAST software.

He looked it up and said you cant get actual Skyline 'S' one anymore, they just have a Nissan one (same key as N15 Pulsar I think he said). I ordered it ($15 or so), was just a silver key with black top with Nissan written on it, then went to locksmiths and got it cut for $5.

AFAIK can only get this or a GTR key.

i went to my local locksmith and they cut me a new key for about $2. didn't work very well cause the key he was cutting it off was a bit worn so he just kept filing it till it worked.

he also said to get the lock number off the lock in the door and he could cut me a good key for it.

How worn is your key? If you send me a pic/scan of your key I may be able to tell you what your code is going to be. It has to be a good quality photo though and close up to the key.

There's no need to pull your door apart sometimes.

To confirm... all R33's do not have coded keys... in other words, no immobiliser feature which involves the use of the key - hence, you can bring it into any key-cutter and for around $8 or something, you can make yourself replacements. However, I wouldn't suggest having more than 2 as the more you have, the more likely they will be displaced and hence this could mean the more likelihood of your car getting broke into with the use of it's own key.

Good luck.
