It is with great sadness that i announce the departing of my beloved 1989 R32 GTST Type M 4 Door. I've had the car for just over 12 months, and have loved every minute of it. I went from a 1992 Suzuki Swift GLX sedan 1.6L, to the gtst, and mark my words..what a change! powerless 1.6L front wheel drive (which still chopped civics!) to a 2.0L turbo'd rear wheel drive with completely different handling characteristics, and power dynamics. I am at this stage swapping the vehicle for a 180sx which i will be turning into a drift pig. She will be missed. I will continue to be a member of this site because i will eventually be getting my hands on a gtr. Every time i see a fellow skyliner i will be sure to wave/flash lights/honk because all of you guys are awesome and have helped me out of some sticky situations.

I thank you all so much, and hope to see some of you guys on the drift track!

I agree with Wink, you could turn your 32 into a drift car too. If you do turn your 32 into a 'driftpig', you can use the money you were about to spend on the 180 and put it towards your wedding. If your wedding is still going ahead, I'd say concerntrate on your soon to be wife and get a house, but that's just me. It's your life and if you want the 180 or 34 gtr, go right ahead mate.

Good luck with everything. :)

yeh thanks Grant..

NG0387 - it's obvious that you are young and will make your own mistakes/decisions.

I'm assuming the 180sx you got was the one with the ca18det in the sale section of this forum?

he was asking $7.5K.

I'm hoping that you got at least $4K on top of his car for your R32 4 door.

the other thing is, you had a 4 door R32 skyline.

it's pretty much the "IN THING" in that crap they call drifting, which you want to do.

You're car would have been so much better at it then a ca18 180sx with FMIC and a pod.

The skyline has better brakes, more powerful engine, etc.

If you come to a public forum and make posts about whatever you want to talk about, you are going to get peoples replies.

if you don't like it, then that's too bad.

everyone here is posting their own opinion/experience.

You started here with "I want a 1000kw R34 GTR" and we know where that went.

then you swapped your skyline for a ca18det 180sx?

That just seems stupid to me.

not to mention you calling a 180sx with pod and fmic a drift pig.

I'm not about to baby what i think just so it doesn't hurt your feelings.

Toughen the f*k up princess

same goes for your husband.

well before u go assuming things its not the one thats for 7.5k...and its got an SR20..and i never claimed that a 180 with a FMIC and pod was a drift pig..what i said was i wanted to turn it into a drift car which i have called a drift pig....and as for the GTR, yes they are my aspirations, i want a powerful R34 GTR, but thats my decision and it doesn't concern you. if u dnt agree with it fine but keep it to yourself. clearly no one hear cares

Here's what I'm saying:

Shut the f**k up, 'GTST'.

You obviously have it in for 'NGO387', so why not just stay out of his threads, and save the rest of us from reading your poor attempts at hassling him.

Agreed 120%.

You've assumed everything and know nothing yet your giving him a hard time about things you dont know about.

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
