Recommended Posts

payments closed

As a November event, We want to try and hold a skidpan day at Sutton Driver Training centre, on the 11th, 8am till 12:30pm. The skidpan is wetted down with sprinklers, so tyre wear is reduced. For more information about what to expect check out www.fifthgear.com.au . For this event to proceed we will need at least 10 participants ideally. If more people express an interest the day may be expanded to the afternoon. And the cost may be reduced. Maybe get a BBQ happening as well.

Will probably at this stage open payments on the first of october and close it around the 11th, to ensure numbers. Will be having one session at this stage, if numbers allow, may extend the session to six hours.

Also by the way who would be interested in doing some timed course stuff on the skidpan like what we did in Texikhana? I had a ball doing that stuff as well. Just an idea

The small wet skidpan at sutton is what will be used. Just a quick note, the format normally consists of 3 or 4 runs on the skidpan of 15 minutes each, 2 cars on the skidpan at a time.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
