Do you have the s2 reo? or what... The s2 front bar will go on if you have the reo to suit, if you've only got s1 reo you may to modify it to fit. The 4 screw holes in the guards line up those of s2 bar the rest just sits flush with no connection between bar and body.

well its on the car. other than the 5mm overhang from the headlights it looks great. and lines up real well.

it actualy looks kinda tuff with the headlights buldging over because the bar hugs up nicely under neath it n looks almost like its meant to be there. ill put up pics if anyone is interested. cheers

Hey here is my series 1 with series 2 or 3 bumper. Not sure exactly. I think i got a series 2 GTR factory bumper.

that actually looks like a series 2 40th anniversary bar which is what I'm looking for. Here's a pic below of the one I've seen

Please let me know where you bought that bar as I'm wanting to buy one as well

Thanks

Sorry dude when i brought the car it already had that front bumper attached. I have no idea where you can get the same bumper. You might be able to find a fibreglass copy of it somewhere. Mine is the factory original.

When i saw my car at the dealer with that bumper i thought it looked very good and seemed to make it stand out a bit more from the majority of skylines out there. I feel that it looks a lot nicer on the series 1.

Hope ya get find somewhere to buy one. I have not found any sites or places that sell that bumper.

LOL. yeah i really like this bumper. I am just affraid that some dumb fark will hit me and wreck it.

As a matter of fact i have had some people already offering to buy it off me. But i dont think that i will part with this one. I like it cos its plastic and doesn't crack if i accidently hit the drive way.

Surely there is somewhere that sells replica bumpers. I figure it must be a rare type cos i have yet to see in person a skyline with the same bumper.

Does anyone know the value of these bumpers?

they're worth about $200, but I'll be generous and give you $400 for it :)

It is very similar to the gtr type yet not as tall, which is what I need as I want to lower my series2 and don't want the hassles of scraping everything I drive over, plus it has a decent size hole for an FMIC to breathe thru'.

An importer here in Perth has one on what I imagine to be the 40th anniversery model and it has a gtr type rear wing. The importer reckoned that he could get a glass one from his supplier and after assuring me that it was the same, I ordered one and was waiting with joy that I would have one. When it arrived it turned out to be the GTR type and I was so pissed off about it,so he gave me my $$ back.

Have tried every site that sells front bars but to no avail.

the car in this pic is the actual one that is in Perth now. You'll notice the holes/slots either side at the bottom of the spoiler are very slim compared to the GTR, otherwise the bar is very similar to the GTR

Hmm sorry mate. I have kinda got attached to this bumper now. :)

Will the importer dude sell you that bumper he has on that car. Surely a good offer of $$$ would get it ok. That bumper does have a large hole in the front for a fmic. My only problem is that i dont really want to be butchering up the bumper to fit one in.

I am trying to find slim FMIC round 50mm thick to fit in there. I might have to look at just getting a better SMIC to avoid having to cut anything.

    • When you crank your car, and hit it with a timing light, can you see a steady crank timing?
    • Oh, forgot to add, A few months ago I was getting mixture codes and the car was using crap loads of fuel. You could smell the unburned fuel in the exhaust, it was crazy strong. Economy was over 17.5 l/100 and usually around 19. I smoked the engine and found a leaky CCV hose which I replaced and then I replaced my two pre cat O2 sensors, I also replaced the MAF. This fixed my mixture codes and improved my exonomy but I'm still 14 - 15 l/100 when pottering about town so something is still amiss. Throttle response is much better and it has more pep but I'd like to know why it's still so thirsty (and I'm hoping that whatever it is gives me a bit more poke).

    • Hello all, currently finishing up a rb25 swap into my s14. Having issues with starting, car has spark (confirmed by pulling a plug and watching it spark), has fuel(confirmed by checking pulse/voltage at injectors all spark plugs are soaked in fuel). Car cranks over and pops into the exhaust with a heavy fuel smell but no attempt to start or run, I have torn the timing cover off and triple confirmed timing, turned the CAS in multiple spots both directions, attempted to start with coolant temp and maf unplugged, checked my fuel lines and made sure they weren’t backwards, checked voltage at cas/injectors/coilpacks, made sure all the grounds in the harness are connected and added a few grounding straps (1 from chassis to block, 1 from chassis to head, and 1 from chassis to igniter chip) I am getting stumped here. As a last ditch effort I made a full grounding harness tonight that’s going to run from the battery and add an extra ground from the battery onto the coil pack harness/igniter chip/ intake manifold/ Wiring specialties harness ground/ and alternator. I’m hoping maybe the grounding harness will fix it here but posting here to see if anyone has any other ideas on what else I can check. My fuel pressure is unknown right gauge will be here tomorrow.  IMG_3206.mov
    • yeah I was shocked when I checked my spare OEM on and as below that's how they come from Nissan. (side interesting note new NEO gearbox and replacement park lack the brass bush on the tips and its just all alloy) unsure about damage to the box currently back at 1110 to be pulled down/inspected and selector fork replaced as he built it previously and given the never before seen failure on his billet forks he is replacing it under warranty. He said he has used always OEM the keyway tab without issue for years so it could be an unlucky coincidence. I did talk to him about the sharp corners and stress concentration too. Re: hard shifts i got 7+ years out of the OEM one and the fork itself failed not the keyway. so could be bad luck as I said or an age thing + heat cycles in box and during fabrication of billet?
