Ok, I have finanlly sorted out all the skid dates for next year!

15 March - Gympie Crew

10 May - SAU

14 June - Bundy Crew

12 July - Gympie Crew

20 Sept - SAU

18 Oct - Gympie Crew

Everybody is welcome to attend the Gympie Crew's skid days. Contact [email protected] for bookings.

The SAU days will be organised by RevHead (or the new President) and as usual you will need to be a paid SAU member.

Contact RevHead for details and bookings. He has let the odd non-member in!

The Bundy Crew skid days are being organised by my mate Lars. There will be cars from Bundy, Hearvey Bay and Maryborough.

There will be a price rise due to a rise in the hire of the skid pan complex. This can not be avoided. I expect the price to rise to about $120 per car.

As normal for my skid days, your entry fee entitles you and one freind to free tuition, BBQ lunch and free soft drinks all day!

The skid day is 8am-4pm. lunch is eaten on the run between goes. Tuition is built into the day as part of the day. Our tuitor is a qualified driving instructor.

Feel free to ask any questions. Feel free to ask other guys who have been skidding for their opinion..!

I have marked all my previous skid day posts with the blue question mark. I did this so it is easy to track.. check them out!

Any other Q's?

As far as I am aware..

RevHead has started a thread in the members section for the SAU exclusive skid days.

Contact him for bookings and payment details.

Don't cry to me if you miss out!

You have been told early.. I doubt spots will last long for either day.

Points system for skid season 2008!

Time trial:

1st 25 points

2nd 20 points

3rd 17

4th 15

5th 13

6th 10

7th 8

9th 4

10th 2

11th place or more gets 1 point

DNF 0 points.

Crash -2 points!

for the shoot out:

1st 11 points

2nd 7

3rd 5

4th 3

everybody else gets 1 point.

It is possible for 1 driver to be the fastest in both time trials and win the shoot out and win the max available 61 points.

Each time trial event will be allocated points. So, if u win the first time trial u will get 25 points, then u get 6th in the second round u will get another 10 points. Then if u come 3rd in the shoot out u will get another 5 points. That makes u a total of 40 points.

There is a prize for the highest points score of the day!

Your points will be acrewed over the year and the winner will get the piston trophy at the end of the year!

Consistantcy will be the key.. Keep it smooth and tidy. Speed is fine, but accuaricy is final.

Like it?

    • Wanna rewrite all of that in, say, 2 or 3 separate sentences, so that we can read it?
    • Just yesterday the car started to shake a bit when idle. So tomorrow ima test the some wires and packs with the multimeter and see what it is. Hopefully is a pack because thats the easiest thing to buy same day here where I live in the USA.
    • shot myself in the leg and now last night I have shaking when I idle lol
    • I'm not a big fan of the Cometic gaskets either, as above the head and deck need to be like a mirror (can't remember the RA) so Kamieri sounds like a good idea.  FWIW a mate of mine hordes old motor stuff and has some blank unground Nizmo cams for one of these in his supply if random shit if you're interested.
