TJ!

Have a look at the CAMS website and then look in "calender"and search for

"event - all"

disipline - all or kahna etc

select dates and then multi-club and it will tell whats coming up - although not much coming up at the moment

With the 2007 motokhana round - held on sundays (dam work) by car clubs like "thornliegh car club/ hills c/c Mg owners c/c etc etc

they have rounds thorugh out the year and its around the $50.00 mark for entry and you compete!

other than that theres not much else unless you search other car forums and find out if they hae a skid pan day etc

p.s. I owe you $$ for texi accomo

The cams khanas are good, Neil has done heaps and a few of us did a couple of rounds a few years back.

Only thing to keep in mind is the offical courses are very tight compared to dutton or the deca copies.

Are Skylines competitive? I'd been keen to give it a very serious effort as team SAU NSW. I can see where you can get much better with experience.

Hi - my names TJ and I'm a khana addict....... its been a week since my last khana....... :)

Would you like to join my support group?

On another note, I just got the car to the carwash this morning. I'm definately over the wet skidpad thing.

not competitive overall - outright is won by motorkhana specials, basically a little larger than a go kart with auto trans and 2 brake pedals (front and rear) running on slicks. they are amazing to watch.

classes are broken down by car length A/B/C/D and specials. Skylines are well and truely in class D and can win it for sure.

So, it is brilliant fun, very technical, good driving skills practice and class based so you can compete against similar cars.....great fun, and all for $40 for a day's racing

I'll be in it, Just gotto join the club.

I used to compete in a BMW 318is and would easily win my class (Class D, mainly Falcodores, other BMW's. would include skylines but I never saw one)

Now I have my 32 I want to start competing again, just gotta get a couple of things first, 1.5way and maybe even a Hydro handbrake

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
