i only know of dr. drift here in melb

is there anyone else???

ecu has been socketed, so its pretty simple if they know how to tunee....custom make the fuel/timing etc maps, burn to eprom chip and place in ecu...

linedup33 - Sam's prices (Dr Drift) totally depend on the ECU in question.

R33GOD doesn't know what he is quoting about unfortunately :woot:

Considering the fact the ECU already have a socket/board in it. Then prices are reduced yet again i would imagine.

But lets not speculate on what we don't know

Chad - I would give Sam the thumbs up for stock ECU's. He's been at it since 2002 and my old car was one of the first he did way back when i used to deliver pizza to the bloke :sorcerer:

He did a couple more for me along the way after that (and about a dozen other friends), let alone diagnose a number of electrical problems some big workshops failed to do.

Give him a buzz, and workout a deal.

mmm my ecu has been socketed and tuned by dr.drift. im not happy with it and wanting to get a tuner who is very experienced with tuning the zeds...he is a specialist in tuning silvias, although he can do other cars. but im just not happy with the tune unfortunatly....

ive given created motorsport a call aparently the guy who tunes there said he was from new zealand and has done somewhat 200-300 zeds there, aparently being the only one who remapped ecu over there...im just waiting for a reply with some prices from him....

dr drift prices are cheap, and also makes me wonder why...after that i wasnt happy with the result...maybe i should give him a call and tell him how i feel....i just feel a bit rude to comment his expertise and kind of dropped it and just turned a frown to it...

for those that want to know his prices are

$100-150: socket ecu

$200-250: custom tune

$150: dyno time and hour.

I certainly hope that I'm more than approachable, and certainly happy to look into it for you Chad. Feel free to drop me an e-mail detailing your concerns...

Just a couple of Qs?

Was it fine after the tune and gradually got worse? Or was it just bad straight up? Just trying to figure out if it may just be a faulty sensor, or some other problem, or maybe it just needs more dyno time...

Sam

ohh whoops lol, i didnt know you on the forums lol....

i just feel a bit rude to comment his expertise and kind of dropped it and just turned a frown to it...

sam i just felt a bit rude to question what was done etc.....

i mean i let it go in my own hands because in the first instance u told that you specialise in silvias etc but can tune other nissans, and i agreed to taking the tune up on that basis....obviously the zeds are more complicated, and just a few things were over the place.....k value, timing....i will email you about what i have found to be a little out of place...

car has been running fine, there is nothing wrong with the tune in the operation about the car....everything is working sweet, no error codes etc...

email sent.

    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together
